I am interested in others experiences. I am considering getting some for my arthritis.
I was informed by a friend to use the full spectrum CBD oil.and to use at least 600mg potency, my friend uses 1800mg and takes one dropper full and it usually lasts her 4 hours of relief.
That is not very long and sounds like a very high dose and I asked her how much money it costs as I have seen some cost

1000mg 40 doses 1/2doppler full=$139
600mg=$95
She said that the strength needed to be 600mg or greater to be effective.
I am going to my health food store tomorrow to see what they have to say and what they charge.

I do not have direct experience with CBD oil.

I did go to a seminar on it. As I understand it, most of the CBD oils are not "standardized." The potency is not guaranteed from batch-to-batch and/or from one brand to another. Therefore, the dose one is told s/he is getting may or may not be accurate. There is a lot of substandard CBD Oil on the market.

That said, some people get some relief. Others do not.

I hope you continue to investigate. I also hope you are led to one of the most potent formulations/brands and I hope it is effective for you!

All methods of treatment, when they are successful, are considered to be giving a placebo effect until they are successful for over 6 months. (The same goes for meds.) Just something to be aware of.

Best wishes for finding relief for your arthritis.

I am actually trying it now for old lady neurological issues in my legs. My goal is to get free of all script meds and right now, my targets are Tramadol and neurontin. It seems to make a difference if I use enough of it. I found half gallon of fairly high spectrum on Amazon for a decent price but right now, I can’t recall what I paid. Just an FYI since we live in the same state. A little birdy neighbor and friend who is a state congressperson told me a bill may be coming up this session or next to the open debate floor on legislation to legalize medical THC containing meds. So...there is a ray of sunshine. It was just legalized in Arkansas so I may be figuring out how to gain a residence there if Baton Riuge stays in the Stone Age.

I have/do use it. Although i dont use it for pain, i was hoping it would help with anxiety, but it didnt. I still use it though because i found it gave me some much needed cognitive/memory improvements that my other meds were wreaking havoc on.
You must be VERY careful with it though. CBD consumed orally uses the same enzyme in the liver to metabolize as a lot of the meds, which means that i can significantly raise or lower the amounts of the other meds you may be using.
I found this out the hard way when first time i used it i had a near emergency level spike in serotonin because of the mirtazapine i take. It was bad, but i rode it out, it took about 6 hours for it to dissipate.
As well, some CBD does has up to the federally allowed max of %.3 THC.
THC definitely is bad with any anti-depressant and for sure any anti-psychotics.
Be sure to purchase one that clearly states "THC Free".
Also be sure to source it from a reputable supplier. CBD right now is like the wild west and there are many questionable suppliers out there.
Some of the good ones are VerifiedCBD, Green Roads, Charlottes web, and Koi.

Never done a link on this forum so if this doesn’t work...let me know. And it’s actually a gallon, lol. I was told by a trusted person that companies are shafting the hell out of folks and this above is as good or better than most for topical purposes. It is edible and you can put it on greens but it tastes like mushrooms and dirt....and not the fun or tasty type of shrooms, either.

If it doesn’t work, search natural hemp organic cannabis oil. It comes in smaller quantities but this is a good buy. Just keep it in a dark, cool place then in a fridge after opening. I let a bit come up to room temp then massage in skin on my legs, feet and arms. It seems to help me. I massage along meridian lines towards the feet and hands/toes and fingers.

It’s $59.99 a gallon and prime free shipping if you have amazon prime

Just an fyi, Amazon does not sell CBD oil, only Hemp oil. The two are very different things. Thats why you were able to purchase in that quantity. Hemp oil has its place, its just a different place than Cannabidiol (cbd) oil.

One more note...this is NOT expressly CBD oil but natural Cannabis. The CBD thing is a bit of a marketing gimmick. Now true THC oil is a horse of an entirely different color and is not available in states that don’t have at least medical marijuana laws so be aware of that. There are folks using CBD as a way to get rich quick before THC gets legalized nation wide. From my understanding hemp oil is just as therapeutic as it’s thinly veiled cousin and actually better for you all the way around...including in the pocket book.

. But hemp seed oil alone does not contain CBD or any other cannabinoids.

The link did not work, though I found this on a goggle search.
Would you mind copying the whole link and pasting it here thanks.

See latter posts. I understand the debate still rages on. I recall a similar thing happening years ago regarding various St. John’s Wort elixirs not long after someone rediscovered it as a variant herbal for mood elevation. This was back in the late 70’s. For a time, companies popped up with all types of expensive mixes claiming it was the mother plant of Valium. ((Not accurate- that is actually valerian root)). Anyway. A lot of folks got very rich but many times more just wasted money. If true THC is what you need...it’s what you need. No dirivitive or expressed partial short chain acid chemically ripped from the complex natural cannabis plant oil’s total, original chemical signature will do anything close to what true THC in its natural state can do, IMO. I’m using hemp as a topical aide to help my nerves and muscles recover as hemp is similar in structure to turbinoids and go thru the dermis layers and into the capillaries to join with the bloodstream and send the good omegas and other good well structured chain fatty acids where they are needed. Hemp oil reacts with the skin much like coconut oil does which is another marvelous and cheap therapeutic, natural oil.

I’m praying THC is finally let out of its time out corner and comes back to where it should have been all along. Here’s hoping it happens soon.

I don’t mean to sound argumentative. I’ve been told I come off that way. I have a variant of Asperger’s and my kids keep reminding me to remember to sound soft. I am not sure what they mean by that but I can sing you the words to “Soft Kitty”.

Bizi, I am sorry if I am late in the game but- I think like a lot of things, CBD and the cannabis treatments depend on the individual.

I use cannabis have for years (guess I am being my own guineapig .. ha)

with my back issues (severe herniated disks that got shaved then herniated again years later and fusion occurred), I honestly thought cannabis helped me manage the pain and keep my mood going. but for post surgery especially for the fusion, I am glad there was chemical drugs even if they messed with me within days.

I use CBD for regulation too of moods, if I take too much I get sleepy... used it for a lot, and learning dosing. *and when to take what, because there's been times I've used the same amount that makes me sleepy another time and I was "normal" and it helped me to be more stable In away *

Even though cannabis helps me, my ex it doesn't, he will get paranoid and not well. Which is ok and makes sense to me because we're a different. I can relate because indica seems to make me more depressed if I was already depressed, and High stativas can make me race and be more "manically like".. but yet a hybrid assists me greatly.

Some friends that dont use cannabis like me, have used CBD creams. There has been a few that say it doesn't work and a few that say they have results.
One of my friends is like me, they have had great success with CBD for swelling and achs.

If that does not help, maybe try Penetrex? It's great for bruising and pain.
It can be found at most Walmarts, online at Amazon and at Penetrex.com.
It is the most helpful topical I have ever found OTC.

Just wanted to share incase.

I hope your mom recovers quickly and without any complications.

I agree. I use Penterex often, myself. I also make up my own Mg lotion using Wild Yam cream as a base with Mg flakes dissolved in hot water and sometimes various calming or anti-inflammatory essential oils like Frankincense. Both help for mild to moderate pain but Penterex seems to work quicker. I am considering a hemp oil cream to use as a base as well. Of course, I’m also considering medical grade Can. Vulgaris. You know...in the name of research...

she has the lidocaine patches left over from when she busted her tail bone. 2 months ago. My poor mom, remember she fell down the stairs and broke her collar bone this past year. It is a good thing that she does not have osteoporosis. This has been a painful year for her.

P.S. Penetrex has a money-back guarantee if it does not work well for anyone.
I have my mom using it, too, and she loves it.
