Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends and to those who celebrate the holiday.

I do not like the holiday personally, as I find it very triggering, but I hope your day is at least a partially good day.

I slept over my parents' house last night and my back is in excruciating pain for some reason. It's a throbbing sharp pain. Not a good start to my day. But hopefully the day goes by fast.

Let us know if you need additional support!

—-do some knee to chest w one leg extended or other back stretches and take some ibuprofen which is an anti inflammatory and painkiller. I find the holidays hugely triggering also so I try to simplify them drastically.i may go feed the homeless this am. Sent my h to son and grandkids out of town wo me. no family squabbling, quiet, whatever works. I will do the thanks dinner “I’m thankful”s byFaceTime on the computer so I can see my grandkids in San Diego.
Thanks so much for this thread.

I'm a dual national living in Canada, where we celebrate our thanksgiving a month earlier. Happy Thanksgiving my American friends. Despite all the problems, there is so much to be thankful for. I'm thankful for another year of life. When I was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2015, it wasn't clear at all that I'd still be here today.

I went to my parents' for a while, and held it together nicely. Came home and crashed hard. I've been drinking since I got home, which I know is bad, but it does relax me some. I'm not drunk, but a little relaxed. I'm invited to another Thanksgiving later, but dunno if I'll go. Rum is being so good to me right now and I don't want to leave it. I'll get a ride if I do go
