So I ended up having to stay overnight with my husband who is sick and since I cannot drive long distance in the dark I cannot go home and get my meds. When the nurse came in and gave my husband his meds he said "can you get my wife her meds somehow?" Nurse said "she is not a patient here." Then she asks what meds am I missing anyway and I said "depakote, latuda, trazadone and Zoloft." Then she leaves and my super sensitive hearing picks up her saying to someone else "OMG his wife is on a ton psych meds and she don't have them"

Anyway did I just freak out a nurse and two I don't miss my meds for anything so I'm scared. But I kinda didn't like her reaction...

You should be ok for just one night you may not sleep without the trazodone but one night won’t be so bad. That nurse was completely unprofessional and if it were me I’d be speaking to a supervisor.

I agree with Wildflowerchild in reporting the nurse that's just unprofessional in my opinion. I'm sorry that your husband is in the hospital but you should be fine with one night away from medication. I have one of those small purse medication organizers good for like one day of pills and I usually have that stocked and in my purse in case I'm ever away from my main stash of mediation.

Isn’t it great that people in the medical field are some of the worse stigma causing people on the planet ?? Ugh makes me angry.

Sorry this happened to you.

I agree with keeping a days worth of medication on you in case you are stuck somewhere , I keep a few days on me.

Missing a day or two of meds won’t cause any huge problem but as Wild mentioned you might not sleep and then need a few days to catch back up.
