I have responded much better to APs than mood stabilizers though, although nothing really cracks my depression.

My anxiety got better with lithium. My doc thinks my anxiety is an expression of my hypomania and depression. You can have ptsd and bipolar. I mean i think it would make more sence to keep treatment resistant depression labeled as bipolar 2 or unipolar or major depression VS mood disorder NOS. It sounds like your doc is confused. I’d get a second opinion. It sorta changes how you treat it. A mood stabilizer is the only thing that’s helped my depression I’ve tried tons of SSRIs that don’t help and just make me sick. Good luck!!
