Is anyone out in the Reno, Carson City Nevada area looking for a friend? I'm 56, female, married, and seeking someone to have coffee with or to go to walks with from time to time.

How do you find friends?

Meet ups, pick any that interest you , book clubs , cooking classes , art classes.

Or simply start hanging at the same coffee shop you might meet others out there looking for a friend too

I live in Carson City, NV. I’m also 56, female and married LOL. I’ts hard for me to get out and be around people. I live in a senior mobile home park and walk my dog around the park 4-5 times a week, and I get out for appt.s.. and family functions.. and that’s about it.

I was a teacher until things fell apart in 2014. I have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. I also have a dog named Samson, a cockapoo.

I worry about the future. This is my second marriage. Married 8 years and he is 67. I am financially dependent upon him. The thought of working again at any job feels absolutely impossible. I’ll never teach again. Never, ever.

I did two years of DBT, CBT, PTSD classes offered at the mental health clinic I go to. They’ve helped, but I don’t know if or when I will be able to do more than I am. I manage our money, take care of basic household chores and try to practice regular self care.

I rarely cut anymore and suicidal thinking has lessened with current med combo, all positives. 😊

I've met many friends by hanging out at a book store in the cafe and ay starbucks. You meet one friend and they introduce you to others.
