I saw my psychiatrist this morning and she has agreed to a 100mg drop in my Seroquel dose. I know it’s not huge but this is the first time in ages anything has been decreased and I’m chuffed.

I hope you'll see a very nice difference. My Seroquel XR was recently reduced by 100 mg and though the more significant positive changes took about five to seven days, they have been quite notable. I don't think a 100 mg reduction is small. Any bigger jump down may be risky, unless your psychiatrist said otherwise.

I’ll be dropping the dose over a period of 4wks which I’m happy with. I’ll end up on a daily dose of 425mg.

This is good news! I like the European attitude regarding meds. The pdoc gives you only the meds that you actually need at the time. Then when the episode is over, they may then take you off of the med.

PS I liked the word “chuffed” that you used here. Another word for me to add to my vocabulary,

My pdoc does this. BPII. She considers some meds "rescue meds" only. Needles to say, she has been tapering me off of the rescue meds and starting maintenance meds. She is new to me.

It’s been 6 wks since my last episode so it definitely feels like a reward. Also because I’ll be weaning down slowly I can catch any new episode (should it arrive)
