Oh my god, I am manic AF today. Super talkative. Upbeat. Energetic. The world is a special, supernatural place. I just baked a double batch of muffins for my IOP crew tomorrow. I'm also going to make some chocolate chip cookies. Just to keep busy, you know. I'm radiating energy. Can't focus. Can't figure out what order to put my words in. Took some clonazepam which helped a bit but not that much.
Advice? Should I wait this out or contact pdoc?

I have seen in the past manic episodes not work out so well for you. I would contact my pdoc before it gets to out of control.

Call your pdoc STAT. This never goes well for you (or any of us, really).

I just go with it and have another exciting adventure. Few months ago I bought a bmw to restore. I'm going to learn mechanics and totally restore this car like new. I bought mechanic tools, parts for the car, the bmw, and ordered a custom license plate. Its sitting in my garage half done. I go in there and just look at it and wonder wtf.

Only you know how your mood elevations tend to progress. If they accelerate quickly, do call you psychiatrist soon. If they often peter out or calm when you take your evening medications or an "as needed" medication (if you have one you're allowed to take), see how it progesses tomorrow. Definitely if you go beyond just what you describe, call your doc asap. We're only seeing your description and some of us see it as urgent and some not as urgent. I fall into the latter group. Of course none of us are qualified to make judgements like your psychiatrist.

It's fun where it's at right now, but past experiences have pretty quickly gone sideways. Please be careful. Do you have anyone around who can help you monitor it IRL?

I just emailed pdoc. Today was a **** show. Barely functioning and rambling my face off. Barely hanging on to reality but fortunately no psychosis yet. Thanks all for your responses!

Still feeling manicky. I talked to pdoc and she doesn't think anything is wrong, which came as a surprise to me. She's new (a resident at the clinic) and doesn't know me at all, so I'm thinking she can't recognize what's going on. Frustration!
