Hi, guys. I'm newly diagnosed.. newly as in two days with Bipolar 1 and PTSD. I'm still feeling a bit confused with it all. Halfway happy because I also start a new job tomorrow. Emotions a little all over the place. Kind of numb? I don't know. Just wanted to introduce myself. It's nice to meet you all I'll be here a lot more.

Welcome. This is a great place to be with lots of support.

www.psycheducation.org is another great place to gather information when you are newly diagnosed (or not; I still go there 17 years into my diagnosis). It's written by a psychiatrist who specializes in bipolar and has tons of good information explained in a way that's easy to understand. It's says BPII but is good for both.

Hope to see you around.

Welcome wheelykpopeonni!

You might be a little overwhelmed by these new diagnoses, but a diagnosis is the first step to managing your illness. Things should look up for you from now on.

Welcome! Check out the bipolar check-in thread. A great way to get to know what's going on here and you can jump right in!
