I've developed akathisia and I want to die. What do I do? I don't have a decent psychiatrist I can contact.

Have you been on the Med long ?
You can try Benadryl I’m not doctor of course but you can stop the Med ... Ask your pharmacy they know more about drugs than some doctors.. I’d certainly quit the Med. Sorry you are going thought this , hope it stops soon ![]()

Can you contact the doctor who prescribed the meds you are on? Akathisia is awful. I had it once in response to risperdal and will never take that med again.

Akathisia is the absolute worst! Could you go to your primary care physician instead?

I agree with the others. Do all you can to get advice so you can stop it now. It can drive people crazy. Try to get this done ASAP. I agree a pharmacist is a great option if no pdoc is available.

I almost went to the hospital last night. If it gets as bad as it was I'll go before I hurt myself. A drive and some sleep helped a little.

Perhaps a visit to the hospital is in order. This can escalate rapidly, leaving you very vulnerable. Please stay safe and keep us updated
