I was doing so well for like 4 weeks, and now the voices have returned, as well as random sounds. It seems that I will have to live with them often for the rest of my life.

At least I have no mood issues

Don't give up, bluebicycle! Four weeks of no voices is already a HUGE accomplishment in my opinion. Be proud of yourself for that! Relapse can happen but don't let it discourage you. You've showed yourself that you CAN do this and that's important. Now just keep working on yourself and hopefully we can increase that time to FIVE weeks. What do you think? Hopefully, if you keep working like that, you'll be able to get rid of the voices for larger and larger periods of time. It's worth trying, right? Just try to repeat what you did last time when you've got rid of the voices for four weeks. What helped? Any specific techniques? Some meds? Anything that may help! YOU'VE GOT THIS AND YOU'VE PROVED IT TO EVERYONE! Please keep working on yourself. Sending many safe, warm hugs to you, bluebicycle, and to ALL the people you love and who love you!

Hey there, Blue!

I am sorry, I have been very busy and have kind of lost touch with how life is treating you. I do think of you at least daily.

I am sorry you are again experiencing voices.

Sometimes people have chronic "conditions" of various types. For example, I have my psych illnesses and my physical illnesses. I do not like having them at all. I often take a new inventory of just how much they do/do not impair my daily functioning. This gives me some perspective.

How much do the voices affect your life? I know they are bothersome. Yet, do they impair you/your life?

I am VERY impressed with how you have been able to live on your own and have done very well at work. You seem to have a high level of functioning despite the voices? I hope this continues to be the case for you!

Please do correct me if I am wrong, or if you see things differently.
I am most interested in how you see/experience the impact upon your daily life.

Much Love to You, Blue, Always!

I try to think my voices are entertaining. That is, when they aren't telling me to harm myself of others.

Is there a stressor you can reduce or some pampering you can give yourself? Hugs!

Thanks guys

I haven’t heard voices since I created this thread, so I’m happy about that. (Knock on wood.) I haven’t been consistent on my meds for the past few days, though, which I know is bad and can lead to the voices coming back.

@~Christina: it was that time of month for me, so it could be hormone triggered. I’m not sure.

That very well could be the cause. Have they tested your hormones levels lately ? If not I’d get some full blood labs done.

My daughter was having trouble each month with her cycle and Bipolar, she started a different BC pill so she only cycles once every 3 months and she’s more stable.
