Does Abilify seem to remove your ability to cry? I literally cannot cry now and haven't for a while. Nothing sad does it and yet I still feel depressed. I take it as an adjunct with Prozac and tegretol.
Forgive if I've posted about this before, but I can't remember if I did.

Celexa removed all emotion. It actually felt freeing!

I still feel like hell almost all the time but I guess I should call it a blessing? Two months ago, I cried daily. I went through a short hypo, but then dropped back into severe depression. The saddest things don't work at all on me.
Another thing I've noticed is that my sex drive is almost gone. I just don't feel like it any more.

Now that you mention it, I've been on Abilify for 1 month and haven't cried since. It made me too "high", so yesterday my Pdoc changed it to risperdal. On Abilify, I was online shopping and other things I know better not to do. I also had to force myself to eat. It didn't work for me, but everyone's different.

Doc changed my antidepressant from Prozac to pristiq today. It hasn't gotten filled yet. My genesight test shows Prozac isn't for me. Almost sixteen months before I saw the results of that test!

I lost my mind and soul on abilify.

I got them back when I got off all pharmaceuticals.
Being BP and med free is risky, but it works for me.
Good Luck

If you can make it work, that's great. I remember how much more terrible I felt before meds. I remember how many times I attempted suicide before mood meds and how much lessened the attempts have been since starting meds.

@wonderluster Congratulations on your med freeness. How did you do that? Are you bp2?
I can't imagine ever going off meds. Do you have a pdoc and therapist?
TO help keep an eye on you.
Family and friends to help as well?

p.s. I could not take abilify, made me manic.
