Q: Do you get hungry and snack during the middle of the night often? Or at least get thirsty in the middle of the night?[/QUOTE]

I do drink water in the middle of the night. I used to snack a lot more in the night but now I'm off of Seroquel

Q: Do you have a favorite pair of pajamas?

Not regular or diet soda. I drink flavored carbonated water from time to time. It doesn't have any sugar or additives, but it gives me the bubbly feeling I enjoy.

Do you like thunderstorms?

Death's Acre by Dr William Bass. It's the story of the Body Farm at University of Tennessee and while maybe not for everyone I've found it fascinating

Have you ever taken an art class? What medium?

As for traditional types of art, only at highschool and earlier. I did take a general 101 Art History class at university. Since then, the closest I have taken to an art class you likely mean is "Working with Fondant". That involves decorating/sculpting. I've taken other culinary arts classes, as well. I have also taken a little under 10 individual evening class meetings in flower arranging. I'm sort of a Martha Stewart wannabe. My cooking may even be better than hers.

Q: Can you play an instrument, at least a bit? If so, what instrument?

no.

when I was younger, my mother tried to sign me up for piano classes, however: at the time I was very small and didnt have the patience to stick with it

I kind of wish I had, because it's a lovely instriment (though my favorite is the violin.)

what is something you gave up which you wish you'd stuck with?

I didn't officially give it up, but hiking. I was planning on doing the NH48 and did 13 of them, but when I gained weight from Seroquel, Clozapine, Zyprexa, and Depakote I got slower and more out of shape and one night I was so frustrated with it, I shredded my list.

Do you have a favorite pair of PJ pants? Describe please!

Yes. The hospital gave me a pair of cute holiday PJs one year for Christmas while I was there and they hold special meaning for me because of what I had to go through there.

Are you eating more sweets during the apocalypse?

I've been swimming in both lakes and rivers.

Have you ever explored a cave?

Central and southern Portugal. It is beautiful. I really love the Alentejo and Algarve regions. So did my husband. It was during a very good time for me, mood-wise. I was also doing very well in my career and there were few stressors at that precise time. Where we traveled was not crowded at all, which is good because crowds are often too much for me.

Q: During what year(s) since you were diagnosed with bipolar disorder (or surely already had it) did you feel best, all-around?

Ah, yes--love it. Had a wonderful week at Cape Sagres long ago...

Inaccurately diagnosed as major depression in 1997, accurately reclassified bp 1 in 2005.
Best years overall have been 2009 and 2014-17. Very stable then.

Have you ever canoed or rafted down a fun river before?

When I was a camp counselor we were across the road from a river so spent a lot of time there (fun fact: Jimmy Carter likes to fish in this river). I canoed (about every session), kayaked and tubed. I loved canoeing, needed more practice kakaking and tubing was slow but ok.

What was your first job?

yep!.

before I was diagnosed a group of us went raftint

and I fell off the raft in to the river.

I litirally had to swim back to shore, then take all my clothes off because they were wet, then sit down and we all had a picnic. soooo..

embarrassing but fun!
