I saw my PDoc today earlier this morning. I thought my head would explode when he actually prescribed klonopin for me for my bad anxiety and poor sleep. he has been so dead against giving me any benzos. also he increased the geodon by 20 mgs at night and is going to slowly ween me off the buspar and may put me on depakote, which is not definite. I see him again in 2 months and I start the new meds tonight. wish me luck, gang. I need SLEEP! hope everyone is doing well! I'll update you all soon!

thanks SorryShaped! I 'm at about 3-4 hours right now. hope you can get more sleep asap! it sucks to not get some good REM sleep. my anxiety has been thru the roof during the day because of the lack of sleep. hoping the klonopin helps.

I can't get anything for sleep at this point. They all think I abuse it, which I didn't. I usually took less than prescribed. Although, one time I did eat a months worth of benzos in a depressive attempt. It didn't work.

I hope your med change gets you some good, restful sleep. I don't know how many times a pdoc has reminded me to use my prn klonopin at bedtime. When I'm running on very little sleep it's hard to remember all the things to do. Sleep well...

Hi BeaTrue! I took my K at about 8 and was in bed by 9 pm. I did wake up to take some advils for knee pain around 11 pm. then I went back to bed. slept great! around 6:30 am my hunger woke me up. I took a shower first. It was awesome. I ate and took my AM meds. afterwards I had tea and went back upstairs. I feel so much different today. so grateful the K helped. more lucid, no anxiety to speak of and more energetic. I'm hoping this is what I needed all this time to get me thru.
I hope it can continue.

thanks for reaching out BeaTrue. much appreciated. hope you're well!

Sleep is just so important. I keep telling myself that one of these days I'm going to stay in bed and sleep and sleep. Not because of depression, but so I can really relax.

I've been taking Klonopin for many years and I'm always afraid some doctor will suddenly pull me off of it. I saw my pdoc yesterday and she has told me to take more Klonopin. I'm still nervous about taking more. She assured me that she wants me to take the increase only through August. I might be all wrong, but it seems like there's a little bit of recognition lately that benzos really can be helpful, after all the benzo-hatred of the past few years.

I sure hope your sleep improves.

sleep is definitely so vital. I just took some klonopin now because I am struggling a bit with daytime anxiety at the moment. I take .5 currently twice a day. benzos do really get a bad rap when they actually help so many people who don't abuse it. my PDoc was very reluctant to give me any but when I told him I almost called 911 because of my panic, he decided to put me on the klonopin. It's working great so far. good luck with your increase, summerfields! thanks for reaching out!

thanks downandlonely! I appreciate that. I'm happy my PDoc relented a bit and decided to put me on them. the sleep is going to make a big difference and the anxiety should subside.
