On Wednesday in the afternoon around 2 I just couldn’t keep my eyes open. What made things worse was it was family day so there were visitors everywhere. I was sitting at my desk and nodded off a few times. A coworker mentioned it the next day. I have seen some of the older employees take a nap before but I was so embarrassed. Especially with all the visitors. I wanted to asked who told her but I don’t want to know how many people saw. Has this happened to anyone?

I am not working right now, but I can relate to falling asleep during the day. Like when I am working on a project for school, my eyes would literally close at the computer. Have you talked to your pdoc? For me, this ridiculous amount of Seroquel I am on is causing it. Maybe it's your meds??

And as far as falling asleep at your desk, do they allow you to have books or coloring books at your post? Are you a guard or something? Maybe if your mind was engaged you wouldn't fall asleep? I hope you figure it out soon.

Hugs.

I have never fallen sleep at work, but my husband does almost every single work day. Luckily he doesn't get in trouble. His office mate just wakes him up when necessary. My husband has always had issues with nodding off in public places. I wouldn't go so far as to say he has narcolepsy, but close.

I hope you can let that day roll off your back. Being able to do so with embarrassments, and other things, has served me quite well in life. If ever you do get in trouble, if you think medications or your bipolar are the culprit, you can say that even not going into specifics.
