I don't know if this would qualify as bipolar but I was diagnosed as such.
I have delusions. They are usually triggered by something, whether it be financial problems or relationship issues. I won't sleep well and when I wake up, I hear voices telling me to do bad things or feel extremely guilty about something I've done. Usually they only last for several hours, but on one occasion it lasted for 3-4 days (hence a Bipolar 1 diagnosis).

What do you think? I have anti-psychotic meds that I take. I m supposed to take them everyday, but I've been cheating and take them only when I suspect trouble, and that's worked okay for me so far.

I guess I just don't want to be alone in this.

What med are you taking? Its best to take your meds as prescribed. Things can take a bad turn in the blink of an eye.

I am on Olanzapine, brand name Zyprexa. I've been taking it periodically because it causes severe weight gain and we've tried a number of other meds and they all had worse side effects (jaw clenching, manic episodes etc.)

If your psych doctor has prescribed if for every day then you should take it every day. And/or call and talk with him about your not taking it the way its prescribed and why. I personally do not like zyprexa but that's me- your milage will vary.

I don't like Zyprexa, but it's the only anti-psychotic they'd tried me on that has not had severe side-effects. I tried the Seroquel and it caused severe jaw clenching. I was on a "let's try this" regimen for a while and we didn't find anything that didn't have major side effects.
