It is a word, indeed, and words, over time, take on added meanings. I use plenty of words that are even of my own creation. So does my husband. But will any of these words (or new takes on words) catch on with others? I don't know. Was it to you, Wild Coyote, that I sent a PM that mentioned that my husband won a contest held by NY Times' Wordsmith? Part of the contest was for people to submit new "political-related words for the English language.

Given the reaction to my use of hyperthymic personality, I will stop using that as I did. I fully understand that incorrect usages can cause confusion or offense. Think of how way too many people say "Jodie is acting so bipolar!" when they really mean she's fickle, but doesn't really have an official DSM diagnosis of bipolar affective disorder.

Got my letter in for excusal from jury duty yesterday. Also called Medicare for a bill that I supposedly failed to pay in 2015 (?). It was paid so it’s between the hospital and them now. Still need to find out when I’m getting a new MRI for my back.

Thankfully there will be no surgery for our cat. Vet said just keep an eye on her ears (lol) and check for polyp progression.

My husband got his old car back from our daughter. Ignition and transmission are going bad, so off to the junkyard it goes, most likely next week.

So far no venture into hypomania which normally happens this time of year.

Love to all of you. Stay safe and be well.
HI!
It is great to hear from you! I think of you often and wonder how life is treating you.

Sounds like hubby and the cat are doing well?

I am sorry the back pain plagues you so. I hope the blocks will help.

Be well and be in touch when you can do so!
Much Love ~

Yes! You had sent me a PM about the word creations. My family has some of their own expressions and when they are used in front of other people, people pick up on them and start to use them. It is funny.

I don't understand. Why stop using the term "hyperthymic?"
It is just fine according to Wikipedia! I like to use it, too. For some reason, you and I use it in the same context. Therefore, it has to be a word and we have the correct meaning when we use it! Lol!

At first, I read this as "hyperthermic" which most certainly is a word!

I'm dreaming like crazy and I keep waking in between dreams. The dreams are very vivid and a few of them have been disturbing. I've been able to handle it though and I'm able to go back to sleep fairly quickly each time. I try to keep a stable sleep schedule, but I am allowing myself a few naps while I adjust.

My eyes have been twitching like crazy. I'm wondering if it is related to the taper. I've never had it happen so consistently and it only started after I started to wean from Geodon. I'm not sure if It is important or not. I plan to mention it to my pdoc.

The only other thing I have noticed is that I am hungrier than usual. I've been pretty strict about my eating lately, but I'm allowing myself some extra snacks for the time being. I don't mind gaining an extra pound or two while I wean if my body needs the extra calories while it adjusts. I can lose it later and I feel it is more important to give my body what it is asking for during this transition.

My friends and family, including some wonderful people here, have done a fantastic job of checking in with me. I've also been journaling and we haven't noticed any changes in my mood or behavior so far. I'm incredibly grateful for that. I check in with my pdoc and my therapist next week, so I'll give them the same update and let them assess how I'm doing as well.

I will be taking 20mg every 3 days starting tomorrow. I'll do that until I run out of pills and I think I have 7 or so left. It feels like this process is taking a long time, but I'm being extra cautious.

I had twitchy muscles coming off Geodon, yes please ask your Doctor.
Hope it quits soon!

I think some people use both terms when referring to a personality "style?"
I think many of us know what were are referring to, even if the pdocs do not know, lol!

I hope you are feeling better. (?)

Are you inhaling steroids? I do. Unsure of what you have for inhalers.

Yea, it could cause you some serious challenges if you get back into any form of steroids other than inhaled. Inhaled steroids can cause issues, too, especially if already affected by oral steroids.

Yeah, doing everything except more steroids atm.

I’m trying not to actually change current inhaler as it normal works extremely well. The new ones out are much stronger , which they gave me sample of Anoro for a week which probably helped me. But I don’t want to “ stay “ on something stronger, as then I’d only have to take more steroids if that one won’t be enough on the next flare that could be in months or a year(s) from now.

I only want to do that on a prn basis , but I need to maybe do a months worth?

To me Asthma like Bipolar is a balancing act.

I feel like a circus performer with the plates all spinning and some wobbling ready to fall and crash . Dammit! lol

I found this season that there was a lot more pollen than usual. I added Flonase twice a day, and it helped my asthma a lot. I have perennial rhinitis as well.

My normal Symbicort twice a day usually keeps me just fine. But it’s been years since I’ve had a bad flare like this. I’ve had 2 chest X-rays and this is just Asthma no infection.

Did mass steroids and a weeks worth of Anoro and still nebilizing deuneb every 6 hours. Still wheezing and very heavy chest.

I have an appt the 25th , gotta get this worked out. Omg Yes ! Pollen is horrible this year, I’m doing Allegra right now, I have to swap allergy meds every few weeks as they just stop working.

I hope you find relief and this allergy pollen filled season dies off soon!!

Moose I hope you are safe.

My pdoc agreed to Mirapex. She said she hasn't treated anyone for depression with it but says she'll give it a try.

I might start it some time next week, depending on when she can call in the prescription.

I took a half day from work today just to get a break. I felt bad that I need a break so soon into the school year but I had to do it. I came home and just slept. Had a solid three hour nap. It was nice and now I feel refreshed and ready to take on Friday. Then it’s the weekend!

My job is holding a walk of hope on Saturday to raise money for the hospital (it’s a nonprofit organization) and to raise awareness about the stigma of mental illness and mental health in general. I’m not looking forward to waking up early but I feel like I should be there to show my support. Afterward we are going to some steam engine show (RS’s request lol) and later on I’m going out with my one SIL. It’ll be really nice to have a night with her, we have t hung out just her and I in a long time. I’m gonna have a couple of drinks and have a good night. I’m looking forward to it.

I took a nice hot shower and now I’m relaxed. Almost time for my son to go to bed. It’s been a nice night.
