It's just been such a day at work. Too much going on. I'm at home listening to music really loudly and my mood is so elevated

If quick is: the day before yesterday I was doing just fine then yesterday morning I listened to some Youtube videos including Stairway to Heaven (
). I think I was hypo yesterday. The same few bars of the climatic up tempo of the song played in my head all day long and I couldn't get those bars to stop as I tried to get to sleep last night. While that repetitive music played in the background in my head all day long, I was plotting complete books in my head all day long and did a little writing. I was still writing possible posts on PC and books in my head as I was trying to get to sleep. I was tempted to get up and write. What stopped me was that I teach classes for VIPKID (a remote job for a Chinese company where you teach students English) and I have to get up for that job everyday (7 days a week). If I had gotten up and started writing or posting at PC--my teaching would be cr@p today. Also, thanks to PC, I realized that I was hypo and that getting up (rather than just resting even though laying there wanting to write some of what was going on in my head was what I might have done in the past) would only make it worse. Tried to lay there and meditate but it was useless (sometimes I can)--just couldn't quiet the voices. Eventually, I did fall asleep. I am not feeling hypo now. Some of the books I wrote in my head do not feel as brilliant now! So if "switching" in 24 hours would be considered flicking to hypo quickly--then I do. I am glad that I have gotten better at recognizing when I need to reel myself in. Also, I now recognize how important it is to stick to a schedule. Reading posts on PC and learning to be more self reflective has really helped me.
Thanks for this!

I feel all revved up like a kid the night before Christmas except I know it’s not Christmas but my head is buzzing.

I’m a Year Level coordinator (no idea what you call those in America) but today I’ve had to suspend students for:

2x different ones telling a teacher to F off
3x girls for physically assaulting a girl (I’m talking full on kicks punches hair pulling the whole works)
1x for videoing a teacher and writing “F me Sir” when she uploaded it to Snapchat

And I’m not even lying I don’t even teach at a bad school!!! Honest. It was just a baaaaaaadddddddd day

Life is just too exciting to sleep right now (nearly 9:00pm in Australia). Have to be up at 5:00pm. “Up” hahahahaha when I’m hypo as if my mood isn’t up enough. Bloody hell.

Didn't know you were from Australia (for some reason, I had a picture in my head of you being from San Francisco, California). So interesting to know. In the late 80s and early 90s when we were stationed in Okinawa, Japan, we would meet Australians while vacationing in other Asian countries (and got to know a couple that anchored in the marina where we kept our sailboat) all of the time. Always enjoyed drinking with them when sailing, on the beaches, and at bars and restaurants.....

How awesome! You must have seen so much and done so much with many experiences. Nope nope I’m not American mate. Never been there. I’d pub hop with you if you ever swim to our shore!

But I should only be giving thanks and hugs rather than talking to you--you need to lie down even if you can't sleep IMO...

Nah all good. I’m considering a coffee. I am a caffeine addict. Actually when I’m not hypo you know I can drink coffee and fall asleep straight away

Do you think my mood will “de-elevate” quickly?

Same for me. Coffee feels 10x better when we are hypo.

Can you go back to “baseline” relatively quickly afterwards? I’m not used to going up so fast

Can you take a couple days off and get your Pdoc on board and slow this down ????

Hypo is great but it can turn so easily into hell.

I hope you have a soft landing

I tend to go up for a few days to a week and then back down for up to a few weeks.

Then I’ll baseline for a few months or even up to 6-8 months

Lather, rinse, repeat

Agreed but I haven’t seen a pdoc for 3 years. I’ve been stable for a while now
