I read this article on self care today. I liked how the author broke it down into different aspects. There were several helpful reminders for me. I especially liked the chart at the bottom of the page. It can serve as a quick reference guide to ensure I'm covering all of the necessary areas of self care.

6 Types of Self-Care You Need to Know - Blessing Manifesting

That's a very good article. I like this quote: "It's about turning that love, attention, and affection toward yourself. You need love too."

I think it's so easy to forget that you yourself need some love. A lot of times, we are selfless and go out of our way to show our love toward others, but then we forget about ourselves! I think it's perfectly okay to be "selfish" by taking some time to show ourselves some love for a change.

I like a lot of the suggestions in the article. Thanks for sharing!

Exactly! I've heard it put this way: 'you cannot pour from an empty cup'. We have to take care of ourselves alongside giving to others. I lost sight of that when I got sick. I gave and gave and paid zero attention to all of the red flags that were screaming at me to slow down and love myself more. I don't ever want to be that empty cup again.

Excellent article! I was happy to see so many forms of self-care that I've improved in practicing over the years. They've made such a difference for me. But I'm not perfect. There are some basic things I need to still work on, but the point is not to be perfect. No. Allowing oneself to say "It's OK that I'm still falling short on A and B, but I'll improve a little at a time on them, but in the meantime, I'm doing so well with C, D, E, F, G, and more. I rock!
