I had them from maybe late teens through mid forties, which -- probably connected -- is when I was put on lamictal, which of course is an anti-seizure med. I didn't notice at first, but then thought, hmm, I haven't had any migraines! They used to put me out of commission for 3 days. After medication (an old school one) they would make me (barely) functional the latter two days.
Yeah, I have no trouble believing they are connected. |

I've had bad migraines since I was 17. I had to take grade 12 over 2 years because they were so bad. The doctor put me on fionirol C 1/2 (painkiller plus codeine) and phenobarbital because they thought it was epilepsy. The phenobarbital started a major hypomanic episode. Bad news.
Anyway, I had migraines all my life until recently. Somebody posted a thread here last month about Lamictal and migraines. They said their migraines got better with Lamictal. Mine have too, but I didn't realize why until I read their posts.
