Any chance you might try to communicate with a therapist in this way? Writing is not going to work with her. I'm going to have to find my voice.or this is not going to work.

I am glad you continue to reach out here. We all learn from sharing with each other. I know you are often quiet and can isolate at times. I just want you to know you are an important member of this community and I, for one, miss you when you are quiet. thank-you. I often read here when I'm quiet so do follow everyone and I feel not as alone.

Can you stop her while she’s doing this and say ... okay maybe I’m not explaining my feelings right because I find your observations are far off in left field ? It's really hard to be assertive for me. I'm either going to get use to her or go back to old clinic. There's an option to see a T that wasn't bad at her "new location". I stopped her because I stopped meds and knew she wouldn't have that. She didn't put up with my **** but she's a ways away now. I don't want to shop for a T anymore.

Personally the female T’s I have seen just annoy me! I prefer to see a Male T.. Me too besides WV T the only T's I seem to like are male. Even the less useful ones I'd still put in the okay category. Unfortunately male T's don't seem to have availability. Miguel's T is male which I'm glad about.

Do you have a goal for this week ? Or something to look forward too ? H found a coloring tutorial I want to start and If I'm okay I'm going to see if I can stay at home alone. I need to know If I can because I see pdoc next week. I hope T went well for you today.

Have you ever checked into while there are any private practices that give reduced rates? No I haven't, I do clinics because the T's generally deal with lower functioning clients.

are there any other therapist options where you are or at the other clinic? I've had so many T's ( 7 to be exact) in the past 4 years that I don't want to keep switching. FT1-quit (I was with for almost 2 years), FT2- inexperienced, FT3- needed more frequent appointments/higher level of care, FT5- complete girly girl *****, FT6- relocated FT7- current

I hope it does for you thank-you

I would address the reading again. since you have a hard time talking this could be an important avenue of conversation. You are hiring her and it is your session right? I have to talk to her tomorrow.

Are you able to look into additional options? I'm going to keep my options open. I haven't decided to stay at this clinic or go back to where my pdoc is when they get new therapists. Every 2 weeks is better then nothing. I was hoping I could find a way to click with this T.

just curious what meds do you take? Abilify 15 mg ODT, ambien prn

If you went to the other clinic for therapy could you get meds injected? Either clinic I'd have to travel to get the injectable. I'm fine with the odt. I take it. I just don't think it's high enough strength but this pdoc is very light on medication. I'm at the top of the odt dose.

I am sleeping better.

T didn't say anything stupid or offensive today. She did say she knows nothing about medication. She really wants me to go to their pdoc. Probably to share notes. I did explain to her that I don't stay home alone and why. I told her I was going to try tomorrow but she wants me to start with 30 min. and work my way up to full days. She's treating my paranoia like a phobia I don't know if it'll work but I can try. She wants me to get a workbook so she can assign stuff through out the week. She's willing to see me weekly as long as she has spots in her schedule. She's pretty annoyed with me already. So we'll see. She says I can bring lists to remind myself what needs to be talked about but I need to talk.

It sounds like your T session went well. Well done on speaking up to her!
