I’m SO thankful my pdoc gave me Valium. For the first time in months I am
Sleeping. I still wake up during the night
But I’m sleeping way better. My anxiety and panic is way better under control too. To be honest I haven’t been taking it twice a day. Just at night when my anxiety was at its worst.

I’m very grateful

I'm so glad you're feeling better all around, HALLIEBETH! That's good that you only seem to need it at night. Normally, I wish you took a med as directed, but particularly with benzos, less is usually more. You may still want to consider giving your doc a ring and let him know you are benefiting from just the night dose. I only say that unless your doc gave you the choice to use it prn, or the like. Please excuse me on this, but my psychiatrist is very strict about me following directions, though he doesn't mind if I call him between appointments to ask if I can modify. He just likes the chance to veto, if necessary.

Gonna ask if I can use it at night and prn

Hey there, Hallie!

I, too, am happy for you! Sleep is so very important!
it's wonderful you feel a sense of gratitude toward you pdoc!

You know, I'd had an order for valium and another benzo. I was given these orders by neurology., for a neurological condition. My PC doctor is a well-respected doctor. he's told me the two benzos were the same. No, they are not. One had clearly proven to be quite helpful. The other wasn't helpful at all. My PC doctor was not very cooperative in helping me obtain the right one!

As a patient, we often know best as to which meds work best for us,

Sleep tight!

That is wonderful! I always say that I can handle just about anything if I've had the proper amount of good sleep. Sleep is so important.
