Sleep is so very important. So many of us intend to overcome these challenges. While the studies/info on the effects of chronic insomnia tend to point toward a "potential" for a shortened life span and/or "potential" illness, hopefully this does not apply to you! It is always possible this is true. Maybe you aren't "behind the eight ball?" Maybe you the "eight ball" is behind you? In fact, if you look around, maybe there is no eight ball? I hope your sleep improves drastically asap! It's a treat to have you posting! __________________ May we each fully claim the courage to live from our hearts, to allow Love, Faith and Hope to enLighten our paths. |

I finally got my GI follow-up scheduled. I have a feeling that should have been done at my appointment after they scheduled my procedures. Now I have to wait 6 weeks. That's longer than I had to wait for my initial appointment.
Oh well. Maybe things will heal spontaneously while I'm waiting. __________________ Bipolar 1, PTSD, GAD, OCD. Clozapine 250 mg, Emsam 12 mg/day patch, topamax 25 mg, ,Gabapentin 1700 mg & 100-2 PRN,. 1.5 mg clonazepam., 50 mg Seroquel |

There seems to be a very long wait almost everywhere in health care. It surely seems like you have waited far too long as it is. I can only hope that, somehow, this is a blessing for you? You must be so frustrated! I hope you get better with each passing day. How are you doing? How is Charlie? I'm just tired. Between having had a cold and the procedure/anesthesia last week I just can't seem to bounce back yet. But it will happen. My cold is already getting better so hopefully the rest will improve soon. I was up sick much of the night last night so I am tired from that too today. But now I'll get some "free" days from taking a lot of immodium. Charlie is doing really well right now. He's been off steroids for several days and antibiotics a week and his latest wound is nearly healed. It just needs the scab to come off. He seems to be feeling good and is even chasing his sister around the house. He's so big it sounds like a stampede but I'm glad he feels well enough to run and play. They're also taking turns "owning" an empty box their food came in. They'll be sad when it disappears into the recycling in a day or two. I'm sorry you're feeling so tired and that your mom got tough news. Is she going to have PT for her rotator cuffs? I know it can help sometimes and sometimes makes a big difference. Does she use a walker for her hip? That certainly wouldn't help the shoulders. I hope you've gotten some rest, both physically and mentally. __________________ Bipolar 1, PTSD, GAD, OCD. I saw a nutritionist today. She wants me to pick back up exercising- walking and to eat more green beans and no granola- too much sugar, substitute oats instead.

It has been a long, drawn out process thus far. I am so sorry for what you are going through. I do hope this condition will heal up and go away asap. You deserve for this to leave you alone! Wow! Charlie and his sister must both be very happy playing together! I have heard today is National Cat Day!!! My mom is scheduled for PT. She tends to get impatient about this and tends to quit quickly. I have had a long talk with her this time, again. It is critically important she follow through on this one. She has not used a walker since her surgery, almost 2 years ago. She was lifting items that were way too heavy f or her. I had no idea she was doing that or I would have stopped her. Oh, yes! You've rehabbed people as a part of your career. You must miss your work? I hope you will feel better soon! Keep us posted. Much Love to You and to Your FurBabies! __________________ May we each fully claim the courage to live from our hearts, to allow Love, Faith and Hope to enLighten our paths. |

So my GI. appt went very well he thinks its just fatty liver, he’s doing more specific liver testing. He does want a ultrasound to compare to the one I had in Florida. So they are going to call me with appt
I was happy he didn’t immediately talk about weight and diet/ food lifestyle. He said watch sugar mainly, if i can lose weight that would be great but he said psych meds are notorious for unwanted weight gain. So at least he does understand the very strong connection. Got my lab work done. I’ll hear about that in 3-4 days.. unless something totally unexpected shows up on ultrasound we can do results on the phone !! Yeah no addl co pays needed! I’m wore out from just being up so early and the over 3.5 - 4 hours driving. My stupid refrigerator has frozen up again its every 3/4 weeks we have to unplug, and sit a freaking fan blowing into the damn freezer side and thaw it out. All my refrigerator foods are surrounding a huge tub of solid ice so I don’t have to throw out foods. It’s unbelievably annoying af ! But we can’t afford to buy another. Things could always be worse. __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

My PCP consulted with the pdoc when I first moved here and agreed to keep my meds the same. Even the double dose of Ambien that made him nervous cause the pdoc said bipolar's need their sleep. But it's beyond time for an adjustment. __________________ Nammu …Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. I need to call back and ask this. I meant to but they had so many questions I got overwhelmed and forgot. It's like my doctor only works a few days/week. I think that is really it; he does scopes 4 days/week in the mornings so he has less patient time, just like all the GI staff probably. So it's hard to get in. It's still frustrating. But it could be worse; it could be months or I could not have insurance or access to medical care at all. I just have to keep remembering that.

There is a huge gap in Pdoc providers. There’s 3 options in the 2 counties for me. Trazadone, Lunesta, if you have been off ambein a awhile , maybe give it another try, what about a benzo at bedtime ? That what helps me get any sleep. __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |
