Have a fab 2020 when it comes guys, Scotland will see in the bells in 3 hours the countdown is on. Got my gifts for my parents for when I enter their house (called a first foot gift, 1st time in the new year you are in the house). Got my lump of coal too (Scottish traditions lol). Got the prosecco in the fridge and the nibbles (food) in the house too. We have the traditional steak pie for the big day and even more alcohol and food to consume tomorrow.
Whatever way you spend it, with people on your own or working have a great new year and I'll see you on the flip side scary to think it's a new decade. As we say in Scotland (Lang May Yer Lum Reek) aka Long May Your Chimney Smoke... funny saying but it's the best way to greet in the new year. I'll raise a glass to you all when the bells ring at midnight. Happy New Year to you all |

Thanks for sharing about your lovely traditions, Miss Laura! Happy New Year to you and all others here. As I post this, midnight is about 6 hours and 15 mins away (US East Coast/NYC time).
We avoid parties. Most of the time we barely make it to midnight. We do enjoy Prosecco, too. |

Watching The Twilight Zone marathon, waiting for the new year to come. Thanks so much Laura for sharing your traditions - here in New York all we know how to do is get drunk and party in the freezing cold. lol. It's a long glorious tradition!!
