Knowing that people are out there that care is a lot of help. I told one of my family members about the postponing and they said, "you knew better than to hope for that right now." I thought hope was a good thing. Then again, that particular family member has never been sympathetic but once ever.
Thanks to all that have been with me through this thing called life. You matter

Sorry to hear that your surgery got postponed and that you have an intense headache. The DOES sound painful My favorite author calls headaches due to excessive screen time "phosphenic" migraines. I find headaches so awful because i can't do anything: watch, read, listen -- it's all too painful. I usually end up just sitting quietly with my eyes closed. I haven't tried podcasts tho. I heard of one woman with a concussion who had to sit in the dark for weeks so she listened to podcasts. "Everything is Alive" is the only one i've tried and the first chapter was charming. Also "Homecoming" was excellent. Glad to hear you find us all here a comfort. If there's anything i can do, let me know.

In my mind it depends on why you're hoping and what you're hoping for. Hoping that an incredibly painful and difficult to tolerate physical condition resolves as soon as possible seems like an incredibly appropriate and worthwhile use of hope in my mind. It is wonderful you can see the negativity for what it is and you value what matters. Many of us here are pulling for you and are happy to offer our hope as well.

Just remember.....hope postponed is still HOPE in spite of any current discouragement. It will happen & all will be well & actually safer than if they did it now for you. Every surgical procedure we go through effects our immune system & rught now we all need our immune system as strong as possible. you will get through this

They keep bleaching my apartment building and making everyone sick! I vomited through both my nose and mouth profusely this morning while coughing my lungs out. I had to leave.
I did get a call from the surgeon's office a few minutes ago. Supposedly they're saying it can happen May 20-21! Let's hope
