Oooooh Spring is coming..

What are you looking forward too ??

For me ?

Seeing new glorious green leaves appear on trees.. wild flowers in my pasture popping up . Throwing the windows open. Cool clean air blowing in .. Watch lighting bugs start blinking. Spending more time sitting on my porch.

I’m just so ready to stop being so cooped up, light T-shirt’s, shorts and flip flops even tho I know they are horrible for my feet, my toes want to be free

You ?

I'm looking forward to the big neighborhood garage sale the first Saturday in June. Also I love watching the maple leaves start out as buds and then tiny light green leaves and finally full-grown dark green leaves.

Ahhhh coffee on the porch, walks in the evening, driving with the windows down and radio blasting, wildflowers and daffodils sprouting, sitting on the porch in the evenings watching lightning bugs! So. Many.things!

Ahh ... it’s autumn here, but thanks to climate change our summers are extending well into April. Not looking forward to autumn’s arrival, then winter. I hate the cold. As Christina said, ‘my toes want to be free’.

Looking forward to all my beautiful flowers! We didn’t move in till June last year so all the spring flowers were gone but now I see my fav daffodils poking out! There is a small botanical garden near my house and I am excited to visit it in April! I couldn’t go last year because I was still recovering from my back surgery. This year it’s a go! Monday should be 67 and sunny!

We had a couple of weeks of winter - we're desperate for rain. So it sure feels like spring since February. I'm looking forward to the flowers! Trees blooming, and the white sunlight.

Christine, do be careful with the flip-flops. Wearing them every day 3 summers ago was what caused my achilles tendon to get messed up. I understand, though - I love to have free feet and pretty toenails.

What wonderful pictures have been painted here! Thanks for them, everyone! Christina, what a lovely thread!

I have already seen crocus blooming in my area, but it is the blooming of the forsythia that really marks spring for me. I love the smell in the air and feeling the refreshing air in my arms. I also love when all the grackles show up. Their song is delightful!

Personally, I'm looking forward to next winter. For some reason the heat, the light, and the noise of summer is bad for my moods. Winter calms me down a bit.

Thanks everyone for sharing

Over all I’m getting a feeling we are connecting and really appreciate trees and plants coming back to life .. mirrors our moods? Depression being so common in miserable grey sky’s, cold temps and often needing to wear so many layers we look like football players.

We shed our winter skin

The one thing I hate about spring: going from "fall back" to "spring forward"

I hate when the clocks change. I wish we could get rid of this silly tradition. It's nonsensical and throws people off.

Otherwise, it'd be nice to be able to wear lighter clothes and not have to deal with snowstorms. I also like when I can walk outside without freezing my @ss off.

I second this, Blue! I love going places with just a tshirt and jeans- no bulky coat to drag around. And I'll add that in the Spring and summer I don't have to scrape ice and snow off my car at 530 in the morning! Just wake up and its alread 60 degrees and the sun is up. The time change is always on a Sunday which means a lot of people could miss church if they're not careful.

I love being able to sit out in the sun surrounded by beautiful flowers. Forsythia and jonquils always tip me off that it’s coming. I love having more daylight, the sound of birds singing and the smell of fresh cut grass.

Great thread!

I love how fresh the air feels during the first of spring. The sky seems more blue and has an electric feel to it. I also enjoy watching the buds on the trees transform. I can really tell the difference between all the varieties when they flower before they turn into a sea of shades of green.

Thanks Christina!

I love having more daylight. I love the flowers, I live in a apt that has a pond, I like sitting out and watching nature. I love the sun beating down. There's so much to love about Spring!

And that starts today- spring forward! Now at least N3 will be able to stay out for an extra hour of daylight.

Also, I like dwindling snow mounds - in yards or in parking lots.
