Woohoo...got a ham steak! And some Cadbury eggs and garlic mashed potatoes.

I’m going to watch the Easter Vigil Mass online tonight. It won’t be the same, especially not without new Catholics receiving the sacraments for the first time. But better than nothing.

The family is not religious and my grandsons are too old for egg hunts, even if they were able to come over. So Resurrection Sunday will be pretty much just another date. I’m bummed.

I observe Passover. Easter is my birthday Since my friends are on lockdown they can't visit me and of course vice versa. So I'm making myself a "Pink Velvet Cake" Putting in thawed strawberry slices in the mix, chocolate icing. My sister and her husband are in FL and my female cousin from my dad's side is in AZ, cousin mom's side DE with her husband. Thank goodness there's the phone and internet.

My family usually gets together for Easter. We all attend church, have a big feast and the kids hunt Easter eggs (although two are in college and one is a senior in high school). I’ll miss the camaraderie this year. I plan on watching the streaming service in the morning and cooking a nice meal for the family that is here with me. A little sad as my daughter is in another town and this is my first Easter without her since her birth.

Mugwort, that sounds SO delicious!! Happy Birthday!!

I'm not religious, so nothing going on there. But I did just go out and picked up a little ham. Just planned to get a ham steak, but they were sold out. I'm going to cook (heat, lol) it up, with some frozen peas and hash browns. (Hey, why not? They're the potatoes I have, and as long as we're going non-traditional, might as well throw hot sauce on them .)

I'm not hanging out with anyone (far as I know), but such are the times we're in anyway.

Ended up having a nice Easter. We watched the sermon together. I picked fresh flowers for the centerpiece and we ordered in from Olive Garden. Good fellowship. I’ve been reading and we’ve been watching movies most of the day (it’s been raining cats and dogs). It’s been a relaxing, lovely day.
