I recently bought an AM/PM one for $4.95 that looks really cool, but it is a PITA to unlatch the lids on each compartment. It also looks like the lids will snap off at any moment.

I have another one... BUG HULL (or something like that) from Amazon that only has 7 compartments and it I think goes for anywhere between $7-11, depending on sales. It is much higher quality than the one I just got, but it's still on the cheap side and it is smaller because it only has 7 compartments instead of 14 (for AM/PM).

I don't think I've ever paid more than $5 for my single week ones, though I have always needed at least two - one for morning and one for evening. I have purchased a huge multi daily dose kind with four sets of Monday-Sundays (either for four doses per day, or I use for two weeks of morning/evening). Even they can be had for less than $10. They're definitely nothing special. I'm a simple gal. I don't need anything with bells and whistles.

My husband has complained about the difficulty opening the lids of the compartments of some types of weekly pill boxes, but I never have. I'm a bit tougher lass than he is dude. Usually I am the one who opens the lids on jars, too. "Superpower Woman Activate!" In any case, the flip up ones do get less stubborn the longer you use them.

I have one that I bought off Amazon for about $10, but that is really large to accommodate some of my larger pills and my am/pm pills. It's like this one, but less colorful. I also use a series of other reminders that make no sense to anyone else, but help me make the magic happen.

This is an excellent topic.

I have an ancient pill box that holds one week of PM pills. I want a pill box that holds a month of both AM and PM pills, but I have searched both IRL and online and never found the one I envision.

The pill boxes I've seen are around $7 to $15.

I have a bin full of pill boxes. Fancier monthly pill boxes that I never use and the two that I do use. One was a freebie from Walgreens , that's my pm box. It's smaller, 7 compartments that I fill weekly. The other is slightly larger a cheep one from the dollar store that I fill weekly with my am pills. Both are plastic and the hinges are getting worn but they do fine. When I travel I put the top sides together and put a rubber band around both to keep them from accidentally opening. Eh, it works.

I have 2 $.99 ones in different colors. Those are my night boxes and I spend 30-45 minutes every 2 weeks filling those. Pink is the first week and green the 2nd. I have a tiny one that i think was a freebie from CVS that my morning med goes it although half the time I don't use it with just one med.

(Please know my $.99 boxes may be more now that years have past. i think I got them in 2011)

Free ! a Local drug store years ago had them for free if anyone needed them . I took 2 one for am meds and one for night meds. We got my husband a couple too.. They had different colors, White, Pink, Yellow and blue so no issues with confusing the boxes

I got mine for free from my pharmacy too. They were giving them away for a period so I took two so I could have one for morning meds and one for night meds.

yes! Many of the ones online seem to be $7 to $15. I think that is a lot of money for a hunk of (likely) cheap plastic.

Maybe that is the going rate nowadays, but I remember buying one from CVS for $5 about 5 years ago. I liked it, but I lost it. I think they're now like $7-10. Price has about doubled! I guess I was naïve about the $5 pill box I got because I assumed that $5 would get me something of similar quality to the CVS one.

I am going to check out the dollar store too. Maybe I will have better luck there.

I stopped taking my medicine. After that my therapist sent me a pillbox for free. Two of them actually one for my morning medications and one for my evening medications. And then she told me to get back on my medication.

Dollar store. One for am one for pm, so $2. Was going to post a picture, but can't seem to do it without a URL. They are a tower of transparent plastic in rainbow colors. I call the top clear one Sunday and go down from there. They hold a fair bit. They're practical for my situation, but mostly I picked them because they are pretty, lol.

Edited to add: Similar to this (but a lot cheaper): GMS 7 Day Pill Organizer | Stackable Tower | Large Rainbow
