well, I probably could get some from amazon, but nothing like actually choosing yourself what sweets you want in the bag

when I was younger, I used to help myself to the sweet trays before I even left the shop. miss those days.

how did you feel during your very first therapy appointment (scared?. desperate?. hopeful?)

My first therapy appointment? I was about 12, I think. I was scared, but the good people were trained to deal with kids. They made me comfortable pretty quickly. I was venomous though, so they had their work cut out.

If you could give yourself a piece of prescient advice prior to the COVID pandemic, what would it have been?

Stock up on paper products.

What was the quickest amount of time that a medication change, or dose adjustment, made a huge difference?

When I've been manic or mixed on clozapine I've responded to a dose increase in a couple of days. 4 days and off has worked in the past

Have you ever taken a med you really liked but had to stop for side effects?

Risperidone was working, but I had to give it up due to side effects.

Do you consider yourself any more or less important than someone else?

I think everyone has equal importance in this world, but believe some do contribute more in various respects. One need not be an executive, famous artist/writer, or have other typically regarded prestige to add great value. Being generous in love, understanding, and forgiveness can be just as significant. That's just one example.

What typically regarded great thing (item, activity, etc) do you find slightly scary?

Yes, of course. I am a big fan of Whitman's poetry, too.

Do you like the summer sounds? Do you hear them where you live? I'm referring to sounds like cicadas, crickets, frogs, etc.

I hear birds, and children playing, and that's about it.

I don't like summer in general (triggers my feeling of agoraphobia) and so I don't enjoy the sounds too much, I would prefer a sound of a rainfall, or a busy town to birds and laughing children.

laughing children are nice, because of the inosence at that age, but hmm. I don't like things that remind me of summer too much

have you ever taken an IQ test?. if so, how did you do?. if not, would it be something you'd want to do?

I believe I have, but when I was a child. All that I remember is a teacher/school staff member telling me I was intelligent. I don't recall any actual score, or being told one. I have no desire to take an IQ test again. Why bother. If the score was lower than expected, what good would it do? Make me feel lesser? If it was higher, that wouldn't do much good either. I regard myself as intelligent enough, plus no one should let an IQ test truly determine their intelligence. There are all types of intelligence, some of which a test doesn't measure. I've also had some dumb moments in my life. So have geniuses.

I enjoy learning and feel I have contributed good things, intellectually. I did well in high school, college, and in past jobs.

What was the most recent kind thing you did?

Yes, I like impressionist paintings/artists. I have one at home. It's an original, but not by any kind of famous artist. Wish it was! It's not my favorite painting at home. Though I like art from various periods, I tend to like somewhat more modern pieces the best. For example, Joan Miro's works. Wish I had an original of his, too, but we don't. We do have a large framed poster of one, and a framed authentic original print that I bought my husband for a big birthday. The print is Ladders Cross the Blue Sky in a Wheel of Fire, 1953 by Joan Miro I'm looking at it right now. Maybe I bought it sort of for myself, too. Umm?!?!

If you're talking music, I like, but don't love, musical works from that period. I'm so-so about Debussy. I do like some Ravel pieces, and others.

As far as impressionist literature, I'm less a fan. Of course I've read a couple books by Virginia Woolf.

Do you like going to museums? If so, what type(s) of museums?

I don't have enough experiences with other countries to have a favorite. I've loved trips to Canada and Dominican Republic but they were too brief to really know.

Do you like thunderstorms or are you bothered by them?
