Just wanted to say hi I’m new here!!!

Hi I am bipolar I’m on lithium gabapentin and Lorezepam and Seroquel my medicine isn’t working wel with me. My doctor added lexapro to my list is this’d good drug ?? Will it help me if I’m taking it with lithium ? Has anyone taken this drug with other medications ?

Welcome!! Was the Lexapro added for depression? What is the lithium dose?

I don't know much about Lexapro but if you have concerns you should definitely bring them up to your doctor.

It's an antidepressant so a lot of ppl w bp will have to stay away from it due to risk of manic/mixed episodes, but if you're depression dominant and your manias are mild and infrequent it might be a good med for you. Everyone reacts differently to each med. How about give it a try, be on the look out for symptoms of going up, and be in contact with whoever prescirbed it for you in case that does happen?
