I wish I had an off button (and so does Papa bear).... so much silence. I do not like it

I found a shrink online I think might be ok. Papa bear (my husband) is nervous. His wellbeing is more important than mine. Silent is what I must remain

I made a conscious effort to absolutely NEVER ever pretend to be happy anymore...

I have decided to be my authentic self, despite the challenges that entails...

Not as easy as I make it sound, it took forever for some people to get used to the fact that I don't automatically answer "I'm fine" in the customary polite manner that has been drilled into us by our patients and society....

I will legit say "pretty shytti, how are you?"

Idk the reason Papa Bear is being unsupportive, and I'm sure he has his reasons, but your health and wellbeing is on the line.

If you weigh your wellbeing against Papa bear's approval, which one do you think wins out? Or should take precedent?

Be true to yourself hun, and do EVERYTHING in your power to be the best version of you that you can be.

You owe it to yourself.

Many ((((((((((Hugs))))))))))

Hello, Fuzzy! Maybe Papa Bear is anxious about change of any kind?

Personally, I'm excited to learn that you might have a good therapy prospect.

Thanks everyone I did a bit more research and have decided against this for now. I have things I want to work on before I think seriously of talking to a shrink (I am sometimes prone to changing my mind )The website did look quite appealing... apart from one thing... I understand somewhat what Papa bear was nervous about. I prefer not being constricted by too many labels (just MY preference ) He also thinks I am a better diagnostician than the ... professionals I have seen in this forest. (irl) Please no rotten eggs

Also they are beyond our budget. I don't want to exist on crumbs and water, a bear needs salmon

I hear you on wanting to work on things before seeing a therapist. But sometimes its easier with one. Just my lowly 2 cents.

I am so glad to see you on the boards. I care about you very much and you've been a big part in my recovery.

Call on me anytime!

What kind of salmon do you prefer? I like Chinook, but all but the sockeye are in decline, tragically.
