NyQuil makes cough medicine for people with high blood pressure?

I can't comment except to say...compare the price of Zquil to generic Benadryl, also called diphenhydramine. You are spending boo-coo bucks for Zquil.

Other than that, my advice is to talk to your doctor. What is fine for one person can be poison for another.

I've had pdocs who've prescribed benadryl, but it never works as well as ZzzQuil does. I have no idea why, since the active ingredient is diphenhydramine.

I’m going to the store in a bit to get some unisom. These sleep issues are driving me crazy. I’ve had Benadryl recently and I did just fine. It made unbearably drowsy though. If I can take handfuls of melatonin and cough syrup and still be alive, I think I’ll be fine with the unisom. Plus there’s no therapist to yell at me about it.

I take seroquel, lorazepam, and part of a pill of ambien to get to sleep. I am also on a cpap machine and oxygen. Nothing keeps me asleep the whole night but I go right back to sleep after I wake up.

Psych meds never caused my insomnia. I have had it since a child. And about hangover I also don't know because medicated or unmedicated I have always been over tired in the morning.

I used to take hydroxizine and I also used to take benadryl. And we also tried the melatonin route. However I needed something stronger and that was before the cpap and oxygen, so it was a long long time ago.

All meds I took, over the counter or not, I always ran by my pdoc or took on the pdoc's recommendation.
