I think this is probably an angry part of me.. When I experience someone as being very controlling and mean.. I tend to do the opposite of what they are ''wanting''... Is this ''unhealthy'' .. I dunno. I think it would be worse if I gave in to people's manipulation, whether conscious or unconscious. I have noticed some snakes on another forum have been crawling out from under rocks I cannot NOT be aware of other's ... stuff. I would much rather not notice. This was an issue in therapy too. I noticed when the T was being judgmental... tone of voice etc. Maybe some wouldn't notice or care? I think it really DOES matter that a T is NOT judgmental. This also triggers mood episodes for me. Maybe I'm improving at identifying this and so lessening my internal reactions.

Yes, I saw *that* comment.

No T should ever be judgmental.

If someone is manipulating me if at all possible, I tell the person, "I feel like I'm being manipulated and I'm not comfortable with it." Then I would listen to what they say and go from there.

Forget what life tells you. What do you tell yourself?

Well... Ursida says to tread on the snakes

It's a good suggestion a friend here also made

(not anyone here, I've had a few unpleasant snakes popping up in another reality )
