She’s lying about being a neurophysiologist.

Is a neurophysiologist a doctor?
A neurophysiologist is a medical doctor who specialises in testing the electrical functions of the brain, the spinal cord and the nerves in the limbs and muscles.

There’s something wrong with HER.

No real medical doctor is going on Quora and making ‘expert’ comments about something completely outside their field.

Perceptive! I hadn't even thought of that. Good observation, TishaBuv.

If I want facts, I don't go to Quora. It's just a bunch of opinions. Even its name troubles me. Too close to quorum, which, to me, suggests that facts can be established by the number of people spouting it/repetition, which of course is not the way it works. (Although many clearly do not understand that these days). Maybe I am reading too much into the name, but it just seems a strange choice otherwise. My opinion of course.
Thanks for this!

I honestly think you can be self aware in hypomania (somewhat). I am absolutely aware when the euphoria arrives. I am aware when I am enraged when my patience is not there enough to eat a full meal or stick with a conversation. I am aware of the less sleep. Problem is when I don’t want to take care of it (the euphoria is a bit addicting but I know it won’t last but I don’t believe that when I am in it) When it first starts i think you have two paths. Steps to deescalate and steps that egg it on. but not so much in mania. I also think bipolar looks different depending on the dominant symptoms of the episode. Firstly i physically need to go to the bank to have access to most of my money. So many steps are involved in a spending spree. I wonder if any of you go through the opposite. I don’t always get spending sprees but sometimes the urge to purge. Later in the year it’s like why tf did I think I did not need my umbrella winter boots etc!
Thanks for this!

I, too, am aware of the escalation into hypomania. I'd be surprised if most people who are actively in recovery aren't.

"The urge to purge" - absolutely! Last summer I gave away almost all of my clothes and blankets, left them in boxes "CLEAN - FREE" on a sidewalk where homeless people could take them. I feel a real hypo-high when I give possessions away.

I'd like to tell her to go f*** herself. It sounds like she teamed up with Vraylar's marketing team to come up with a sterotypical presentation of bipolar mania.
