Hi! I haven't seen you around in a while. How are you?

I was thinking about that yesterday and today, too. I hope Fern stops by. She is very much valued.

I hope that Fern has not stepped away because of any political-related posts in past days. I know she has stated that she prefers they not appear as much. The fact is, I don't think any of us who have been passionate about it (on at least the one end of the spectrum) would ever ever want anyone (no matter the philosophy and/or political leaning) step away because of such things.

I've been wondering where she is too. I hope she's alright...

Thanks for the concern ladies. I'm ok. Something happened that caused me to take a step back for a while. I may leave permanently. I just haven't been able to process it fully.

Soupe, no it wasn't political in nature. I'm not a political person and I appreciate a comfortable environment where opinions are expressed without forceful language. I felt like the balance shifted and what was once more of a general discussion turned for a while into something else. That balance seems to have returned. It's all good, and if it ever shifts again I may offer my opinion, but respectfully allow the majority to decide what offers the most value. At any rate, politics had nothing to do with my laying low for a while. I may take a political stand one day if a candidate arises that aligns with my hope for an overhaul of a system that is foundationally and strategically flawed. We'll see....

I wish everyone here the very best while I take some space. I need time to heal and rethink what I want my experience here to be. If I decide PC is no longer a fit, I promise to stop by and let you guys know. Keep being your exquisitely beautiful and unique selves. You all have been gifts to me and I value the time we've spent together.

I am seriously sad to hear about that, fern. I may have a thought or 2 about what happened.

You are such a vital part of this board. I always look to you for solid, logical, wise, highly intelligent (and well written) input.

Please PM me if you want to. And please, please consider staying.

Thanks Beth, but I couldn't discuss it without violating someone's privacy and that's not something I wish to do. The fact that you would even know anything about it confirms my guess about what has been going on. It's a dynamic I don't want to add to. I appreciate the offer and your kind words though. I think very highly of you!

Oh dear, no...no one has said (or typed) a word to me. I am going entirely on a hunch. I just want you to know that.

I really hope you'll stay. So many times, in writing to others, you put into words what i could not say...

I will always treasure you and I am just shattered and destroyed. The only person I have discussed this with is my peer support girl. She has no role here.

That's good. I am not so much concerned with that angle. It would be out of my hands and perception control is an effort that takes so much energy and typically offers very little value.

It is more about the disruption to the group. The fact this thread even exists speaks to that. I'd like for things to just get back to people supporting each other.

@bpcyclist, I am truly sorry you feel that way. I wish you nothing but good things in your future. Nothing I said here was meant to trigger you. Hopefully we can let this thread die peacefully now.

At any rate, this will be my last post for a while. I wish you all well and for those of you who celebrate, a happy holiday season. Some of you have big events happening now or very soon. I will be thinking of you and sending love and support your way.
