Thank you for my birthday wishes.
We just got back tonight, had a nice visit with the whole family.
Hazel our cat meowed so loudly it was funny! We will pick up the other cat Hattie, from the vets tomorrow.I am sure that vet bill will be a lot.
I was with out internet and missed it tremendously.

I spent the entire weekend eating and then drinking and being on line. I did not do any of the work for my business. I did some this evening so feel better about that......am not going to be on here for hours like usual....want to get a good nights sleep. last night I took 1mg of klonipin because I needed to sleep. I see my pdoc on thursday...my weight is up since the break....I think I did not gain all of the weight that I lost back. At least hope not.
I will be interested to see what I weigh.
I always weigh more at the doctors offices which is so depressing.
I had my blood drawn this morning, took her 3 sticks/tries. sigh
that hurts when they dig around trying to find the vein.
I have my annual wellness exam and PAP.
I will be curious about my calcium level....if it is high again I don't know what she will do/say. Some where I read that high levels of vit d3 can cause elevated blood serum calcium. so that will be next is my guess.
I stopped taking 1300of magnesium oxide and now take 400 mg of magnesium citrate and 25mg of sennocot. every other day for constipation. It is not perfect but better.
hug to those who need them:

I hope your blood work comes back good across the board.. what will you do if calcium is high again??

I seriously have 3 easy stick veins... I tell them each time what vein to use as I am trying to avoid scarring more than I already have. The last time,I get blood work every 6 weeks at Rheumatologist appt , this new girl kept insisting we try another , umm. Sure okay ... I said it’s going to roll to the right ... what does she do ? Starts pulling back and going to the left !!!! I said how about you go the other Right ! Bingo .. she finished up. I said if your going to draw my blood again you will do it where I tell you too... and walked out.

There that’s my rant about phlebotomist lol

I think some people just like to poke around because they are bored.

My sleep was really poor, every 3rd night I really medicated the hell out of myself, sure I sleep but it’s a chemically forced sleep ..... so it’s not the same as just a good night rest. It’s been so long since I slept right lol

I’m really not sure what to do at this point. I’ve tried all the meds possible I think. I see my Pdoc sometime this month, I’m going to have him pull up the list of all the medications I have been on... if nothing else I’ll probably laugh at the absurd number.

Have you ever tried visteril/atarax? 100mg seems to do the trick and ear plugs really help. and melatonin 20mg long acting and 3mg short acting

Earplugs and covering my eyes with a soft black cloth really helps me to sleep. It feels like a sensory deprivation tank.

Visteral gave me bladder retention the first dose while IP, very very painful almost needed a catheter.

I do take melatonin 20mg but never tried the slow release I’ll have to give it a try.

Thanks Bizi

For my birthday Jeff treated me to a dinner. He hired a chef to come to our house and prepare us a dinner.
We had filet Mignon roasted potatoes, creamed spinach. the appetizer was a crab and avocado salad. desert was a berry compote tart with whipped cream. the meal was delicious!
It was very filling and delicious!Jeff like his filet as well.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news ,but 20 mg is way to much ,your on the threshold of it being bad for sleep ,you should really try tapering your dose down . I have seen different responses from different brands .you might want to try buying the 5 mg of different brands and try cutting back on it slowly ,see which is more effective for you at what dose ,if you take it every night at that dose it's probably hurting your sleep more than helping .

Ps. Almost every antihistamine and antipsychotic can cause retention on the short term when initiating, unfortunately long term it can cause permanent retention issues , I am like a a "male dog always got some to mark his territory" i had bad allergies and anti histamines caused me to not fully empty , until it built up and hit a trigger point where my bladder says "everybody out" Overflow incontinence ,one wetting is an extinction level event for most diapers ,so I have to catheterize every 4 hours .almost all psychoactive drugs are derived from antihistamines be they antidepressants ,antipsychotics, etc etc

I have tried every dose possible , my Pdoc is who pushed my dose to 20mg , I have tried many different brands.. maybe it would be wise to take a break.

Ptsd is what we feel drives so much of my trouble sleeping since childhood csa

Thanks for the information

My tsh was elevated 8 from the lithium....6 months on it.
I feel that I am more stable on the lithium.
She told me it was my decision to stay on it or get off of it. Taking synthroid is an easy answer.
what do you think?

Can't you just add the synthroid or increase it if you're on it?? I'm confused what the problem is.

For me lithium helped and synthroid is no big deal to take every day. I know that's not how everyone feels though. (I have needed synthroid after having to stop lithium after repeated toxicities though; again it's no big deal to me).

I was on lithium yearsss ago and although it really did help my stability. I had horrible cystic acne that nothing helped clear up , I was concerned about my Thyroid of course , but I went toxic on it and that was it for me.

I wasn’t willing to maybe need to take thyroid medications because lithium imploded my thyroid and certainly wasn’t willing to risk kidney damage.

It’s a personal decision, everyone needs to do a pro con list, my list absolutely went oh hell no when Doctors were discussing if I needed short term dialysis.

What’s your thoughts Bizi ?
