I wish I had the energy to play with my kids. I barely make it through a work day and dinner. Being sick really sucks. Taking time away from my kids is the most cruel symptom.

Is it possible to do something with low activity like play video games with them or a board game?

Bipolarchic14 has a good idea, I think. Or even if such activities are still too difficult, could you establish cuddle time? I don't know how old your kids are to know if they'd still like that, but at least it would be physical closeness. Could even be sitting next to each other on the sofa watching TV. I think kids are stronger than some give them credit for. They are surely concerned about you and want to give back a bit. Have you talked to them about how you're feeling? I think many kids appreciate when parents explain situations. I think they understand a lot more than is suspected.

I’m sorry you are going through this difficult time crook. I agree that time taken away from being with your kids is the worst. I like the ides of cuddle time!

The board game idea is excellent, I think. Or reading to them, and discussing what you read as you go along. That way everybody is seated and quiet.
