My pdoc's nurse just called. I thought she was going to be my pdoc as that's what was written down on my discharge paperwork from the hospital that I was just in. Anyway she asked me how I'm feeling and I said "hunky dory" and then she said are you hearing voices or seeing things. So I get off the phone after denying it and now I have voices talking to me saying "Take them take them take them!". Lovely. Should I call pdoc's nurse back now or wait it out or take a prn or just wait till I talk with my pdoc on Friday?

I took 2 mg of Haldol and my pdoc's nurse is going to talk with my case manager and my pdoc and call me back. I really hope that the Haldol works but 2 mg is nothing!

Now my case manager just called. The consensus is that I should give my meds to somebody to hold and just keep tonight and tomorrow morning's doses and see how I feel tomorrow and that the crisis team will call me for a check up tonight.

It's only about 3:30 p.m. here right now and I feel like it is 6. Maybe because I got up way early. Still hearing the voices. I want to scream back at them but so far I haven't!

So Sorry you're going through this! Please Do not give up! Hugs. i agree with the other wise and wonderful posters about taking your meds and calling pdoc but it seems like you've already done that. Do try to resist and if the situation doesn't improve i'd say definitely call them back and Hopefully they will be able to Help you. Please do update us if possible. Love. My daughter came and picked up a bag of my meds with enough for tonight and tomorrow left here with me. Now waiting on the crisis team to call and check up on me. Hope they call soon!

The crisis team called and said how are you now and I said better no more hallucinations and he said if you need us just give us a call- we will be here all night.

Yes it was pretty okay. I was quite sleepy and now I've just gotten up and am eating and still feel quite slow. My case manager called me and woke me up. I didn't feel like talking with her but she got the info she wanted I guess. She wanted me to take the number of some people to talk to, but I didn't want it. I can talk to people here if I need to. Does that make me uncooperative? Oh phooey! I need to do laundry but I have no desire to do it. I also should take a shower but again ... I also need to grocery shop. Ditto. My case manager said she wants to meet at Starbucks with me some time. I guess that would be okay - it's better than her coming to my house. So yeah- last night was okay and I caught up on my sleep from the night before.

So glad to hear you're out of crisis and sleeping well. You had me worried for a while there. Be gentle with yourself. If all you can manage is one load of laundry that's still better than nothing.

My friend bought me groceries as I told him that I couldn't make it to the store. That was very nice of him! I did go take N3 and his gf out to get a charger for her phone. Then I dropped them off and am home waiting for my daughter, N2, to arrive. She has my meds and she wants to take me out to eat.

My pdoc called. Talked with her for 20 minutes. I told her everything. She raised my Seroquel and my Haldol. Only problem is that I tried to pick up my new Seroquel script but the pharmacy didn't have it! And now they're closed and it's the weekend! Of course.

My pdoc said she'd call the new script in "right away" but the pharmacy denied having it. So now I have to go the weekend- at least!- without my new dosage. That pharmacy is usually so good- the pharmacist that's usually there is so great! She was willing to keep the store open a bit late for me when I was coming from the hospital an hour and a half away! But this employee I talked with is always acting like his job is a huge burden. So I just go without until Monday at least. I had some extra Seroquel at one point but I threw it out.

Wow, that is maddening. I go to a small, local pharmacy and they're wonderful...every employee is so nice and caring. There's only one woman who is unfriendly. I always hope I don't have to deal with her. I guess there's one in every crowd.

I know! He said the script hadn't been called in, but my pdoc said she'd call it in right away. What happened- did she click the wrong pharmacy or what? (I have two listed, but she should know by now that I only ever use this one.) I just didn't like how rude he was. "It's not here...." like it was MY fault or like I was imagining a script! Makes me mad. But I'm mad at everybody today. (See post in check-in thread.)

Talked with someone from my treatment team today who looked at my file and said that my pdoc had written the script but hadn't sent it to the pharmacy yet. She could see that it's written for 300 mg at bedtime. I've got a few extra days where I can take left-over Seroquel from when I was in the hospital to equal 300 when added to the normal amount in my blister packs.

So last night I finally went ahead with this. I [trigger] took about 10 benedryl and 1000 of Seroquel and waited for them to work. I called the crisis team and they said to call 911. So I did and now I spent from 9 to 9 in the regular ER and now I've been in the psych ER since early this morning and haven't talked with anybody yet.
