Hey everyone,
I've had particularly bad anxiety for the past month or so (partly due to a dentist appointment 2 weeks ago, it didn't go too badly). I've had something resembling a tummy bug for nearly all this time.. I'm not sure if this is mostly due to anxiety or maybe some sort of food poisoning. (maybe we haven't been cleaning the kitchen ''correctly'' ... Papa bear is now using Mr muscle every night in the kitchen after supper, I'm allergic to cleaning sprays and pretty much everything else it sometimes feels like..)

I've never had a tummy bug before that went on this long. I tried seroquel (again)one night as I felt so bad and had run out of benzos (these have now been refilled) and again I experienced a scary bad bright red rash on my face. Fortunately this has improved a week later, I only use baby aveeno on my face. I can't tolerate anything else. I had hoped I wouldn't have to contact the doctor's surgery for some harsh prescribed cream for my face. I also hurt my neck, probably sitting wrongly on the computer, this is a bit better now after a month. So that's some of my news The benzo withdrawal was pretty horrible for a few days (or maybe it was the original anxiety, I'm not sure)

Wow. So sorry. Stomach bugs are the worst in my opinion and have sent me to the hospital twice. Once it was for Salmonella and the other time for Norwood virus. Norwood was the worst. It cause violent projectile vomiting. The doctor in the ER said I threw up about 72 times and one time it even ruptured by esophagus. Even now I have a hiatal hernia as a result. I thought one could only get this illness on cruise ships, but I was wrong. Anyway, I am so sorry you have been sick and for so long. I got better after 3 days. I never heard of a stomach virus going on so long. It must be just incredibly hard on you. I usually get rolling panic attacks whenever I get really sick. Wish I knew what to say to help. Benzo withdrawal is no picnic. My heart goes out to you

I'm sorry to hear that you're unwell, Fuzzy. It sounds to me that you caught a virus. I don't think food poisoning would last so long. I hope you're well on your way to healing

Are you tapering off the benzo it can take a long time.Is your doc doing this with you or on your own?
The ashton manual has great information on how to taper benzos.

I am very sorry that you have been so ill. Yes double up on fluids as we don't want you to get dehydrated. But I think you knows this ,can you drink gatoraid clear no artificial colors. but will give you some other nutrients, I think electrolytes.
again I am so sorry your ill. Thanks for checking in. Anxiety is probably rebound for discontinuous the benzo.
