How many times have you been to a shore on an ocean/sea or other major body of water?
Many, for example a Greek island, Brittany in France.

Do you enjoy very warm weather (for example by the sea in some places)

Only once and it was a disappointment because a hurricane had gone though some months earlier and the beach was still off limits. On top of that the day was windy and rainy. The couple of days we were supposed to be there turned into just a few hours. But even from the far vantage point the ocean was awesome.

Have you ever been to a mountain top?

@Fuzzybear, I might be going to Brittany in France soon. Any recommendation for a must see spot?

Pretty close, at least as high as people can go without having to do mountain climbing. Just this past autumn we went to the Tatra mountains in Slovakia. We were basically on top of one peak, but we took gondolas and ski lifts to get there. I did hike a bit of it nearly to the top. Photo shows me heading down the mountain again.

What physical activities have you been most into in your life (sport, dance, etc.)?

When I was in school, softball, running, and skiing. Now I'm still into running and skiing but also hiking and mountain biking (taking a break due to a broken hip from a ski accident)

What non-physical activities do you do regularly?

I try not to eat that stuff too often, but I'd lean towards candy, as I have a sweet tooth. More often I eat a pastry or cake/pie slice. Since most candies are chocolate focused, I'm not that tempted by them. I don't dislike chocolate, but prefer other flavors more. I don't eat really junky candy (i.e. gum drops). As for potato chips, only on occasion. I try to keep that stuff out of the house.

What foods are so tempting that you try to avoid them?

No, but I wear a watch.

If you had no limitations, what would you do?

Travel! I’d be one of those people who spend a month in remote villages all over the world living like the villagers. But I don’t think I could bring myself to eat bugs tho. Most everything I’d give a try. Because I’d have no limitations I’d be able to hear and would learn as many languages as I could.

If you wrote a book what genre would it be?

Short stories. Collections of them. Sort of like James Joyce "Dubliners" type. Fiction or part-fiction.

What time period would you like to spend one week in?

Yes, two. One the other girls fault she was looking at her friend not the road. I saw her clearly as she headed for me. The other one was a freaky thing. Two cars ahead of me on the highway a car started spinning out and I started slowing down, then the car ahead of me spun out, then my car started spinning out. Fortunately the semi behind me had seen my brake lights when I slowed down and he did too. They never found any reason for the spin outs.

Have you ever taken an art or music class?

I took both in middle and high schools. I also studied piano, privately. Also took a jazz history class in high school and general music history and art history classes at university. No music or art performance at university, though.

What was a unique class you took either in high school or college?

I don’t know how unique it was, but I found out at the U that many even in bigger cities were not offered tha chance to take drafting and architectural drawings. In grades 10 & 11 I was the only girl until another girl transferred in 12th grade. At the U my major was design and those classes gave me a leg up. I also had the chance to take an interior design class in high school.

Did high school prepare you for later life?

In many ways, yes, in other ways no. Gosh this is a question I could answer in probably five or more paragraphs. I'll spare people. I wrote about my high school years in my blog, so I have reflected on it in the past. This is a very interesting question, @Nammu! One whose answers could go in many different directions, including ones relevant to bipolar disorder.

What activity relaxes you most?

An activity I’m longing for, sitting in the sun. The sun is like a mini massage and so relaxing. It’s best on a slightly cool day when the Ray are hot. Sooooooo relaxing 😎

What song have you had stuck in your head this week?

You are my sonshine. I have an OCD thing where I pick songs that are not "appropriate if you know what I mean and I try to overrule them with You are my sunshine. The other song doesn't deserve the mention and may be an alteration of another song; I do that too. Music is a bad part of OCD for me yet hard to explain.

If you could go to the South Pole and stay through the 7 months of darkness would yo do it?

No, as I'm not a scientist studying something there, it would seem like a mild torture. Definitely not on my bucket list of places to visit in my life.

What sounds give you the most pleasure to hear?

Wind chimes. Music...classic rock, classical (especially Vivaldi, Bach, and I enjoy Lully), some disco/New Wave, some old punk, and sometimes jazz. Jazz can be grounding and relaxing. Voices of people I love. I really enjoy hearing my oldest sister's voice, she has a low, comforting, but expressive voice. Probably a lot like mine, haha. My cats walking around.

Do you prefer to shop online and have items delivered to your door or would you rather shop in stores?

Ohh that’s a toughie. I miss the stores that are no more. The department stores, Woolworth and others. I used to find the most amazing things by browsing. But I have to say it quite cool to have things come to my door. But it’s not nearly as fun anymore. Don’t know for sure if that’s me or the stores. I need something and I google it, and order it. No fun in that. But I guess that’s good too, no impulse buys anymore. I definitely consume much less.

Do you like re-watching shows you’ve seen?

I remember Woolworth stores from my childhood. They were even later called Woolworth-Woolco where I lived. I always loved going to their pet fish section to watch the fish.

During our recent visit to the US, we found many old stores closed. The town was taking on a new flavor. It was sad in a way, and yet I'm not opposed to change.

Not so much shows, but movies (unless you refer to movies as shows where you are). Some movies I've seen so many times that I can voice a lot of the dialog by heart.

Which form of self-care do you most enjoy doing?
