I will go to the grocery store, hoping they have some of the necessary (canned) food in stock. Lately, they have not.

I've ordered the other type of food, also days ago. No word on where it is. Again - late.

The pharmacy just told me that the insulin won't be arriving for at least another 10 days. Minimum.

If I had the foods and insulin it would likely make a big difference in regulating Sid. But every shipment is lost or late. And all of this stuff is expensive...I expect much better customer service. I'm up to my ears with "covid is slowing everything down."

Thank you for being here. Love and hugs all around

Have you tried Chewy for meds and food? They were helpful to me when I had a chronically ill cat with a special diet. When he died they had me donate the unopened bag that came within days of his death to a shelter in memory of him. It was a $150 bag. I will always be thankful to them for this. They also are FAST, sometimes arriving 24 hours after the order is placed. I don't even know how they do that. They have awesome customer service if things don't arrive or aren't right. I need to switch my flea meds to them.

Just wanted to update-- I did get my medicine today. So crisis averted. I just get nervous about getting low on medicines. My non-controlled substances I pick up about a week before I'm out. When I see 2-3 pills, I kind of panic. At least it's all good now

I understand completely. You have my sympathy. I just went through a mess with my meds this week. Clozaril requires labs every month and the pharmacy loses my labs about every other month. This time they lost them and told me it was another problem. Once that was worked out they didn't have the med in stock. Which is just stupid. For 6 years I have filled that med once per month at that pharmacy. I'm quite possibly the only person who uses it in my small town but that just means nobody else is using the supply. And it would seem logical to keep it stocked. So I got to where I was nearing the end of a pillbox and when it ended I would be out. But they finally got it together and I got it yesterday. I have to use this pharmacy because the other one is much more expensive so I can't complain. It's just so frustrating.

Thank you, Rainbow. That is beautiful, about the big bag of food.

I use Chewy regularly and they are amazing. Just as you've described. But the current order was lost and the representative I spoke with was the least friendly one ever. They're always incredibly nice. This guy was kind-of a jerk.

Sorry Beth. I always hate most when someplace I trust fails me. I hope you never have that person again. (Or that you never need customer service again .

A lot of Chewy orders were thrown in a creek by a lazy Fed Ex driver a couple months ago. That could possibly be part of the issue. They could still be dealing with that mess. No excuse for him to be a jerk though.

My wife and I started using 1800 pet meds a couple of years ago and they are pretty fair to work with. My kids dog got prescribed some meds and it was over a hundred local and they got them from the place we use and it was only $60

Thank you I, too, hate that. I just found out that I can get 30 cans of the cat food I need for $22 on Amazon (Prime, so free shipping), whereas Chewy charges $26 plus shipping for only 24 cans. I'm getting less and less fond of Chewy.

For the first year the relationship was good...he treated me with care, concern, and love (actually, infatuation) that my husband had never shown to me. After that year (we had started living together) things got bad. Then they got really bad. There were red flags all over the place. Neon red. Finally, I intuitively felt myself to be in danger from the man. I left him (quickly) and moved to a different town. He was threatening to kill me. It was terrifying. I made a police report, changed everything - not only address and phone number, but email, Facebook, etc., etc.

I wasted years in that relationship. For nothing, except hell on earth.

I have heard through a friend that the man finally was diagnosed (after being a homeless addict for 2 years), got on meds, started going to church, and was doing okay. I'm glad and wish him only well. But I still have bad dreams about him - regularly. I still fear him.

You have done a wise, wise thing by getting out of that relationship. Be at peace with that, let it strengthen you, and please- don't look back.
I really needed to hear this tonight. I am having SI and was thinking of going back into a relationship that would be detrimental to my health in many ways. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me, my friend. At the perfect time as well.

Being in crutches sucks. The only thing I've been doing is internet surfing and crocheting and both of those are getting boring.

I get my cat food (dry) on Amazon now but that's because Chewy doesn't carry it. I save up Chewy orders so I get a bunch of kitty litter at once because it is both cheaper and nicer to have that mess delivered to my door that way but that only is maybe one order every 4 months or so. When Charlie was alive I ordered a lot more from them because he had so many needs. That's been about 2 years so I guess things could have changed a lot.

I'm an awful human right now. One of my dear friends, she's from Bulgaria but lives in California for over 20 years, posted garbage on Facebook blaming the U.S. for Putin starting war. I am well aware that the U.S. is not stainless...look what our government did in Vietnam. And many, many other terrible things. But responsible for causing Putin to start war? Pffffft. Normally, I would avoid her post and the comments that followed. But today I am arguing with complete strangers on the thread.

I saw little children who have cancer and were in hospice care in a hospital in Ukraine. They are having to hide now, with nurses and doctors, in a bomb shelter.

At this point, I would like to see Ukraine accepted as a NATO country. And I am actually feeling that NATO allies need to get involved in the war. It's going too far and I don't believe the Ukrainians can hold off occupation with molotov cocktails . Putin is committing war crimes by using certain weapons, and by bombing civilian sites and killing civilians.

And what has happened to the Big Monster covid?!?! I haven't heard word one about covid since the war began. I am in no way denying the reality of covid, but I wonder how much the news media fed the fear of the pandemic. How much did the news media help to create the pandemic? Perhaps much more than they care to own.

I'm angry. "Life During Wartime" again. The egos of insane males tearing the world apart.

It’s been a tough day for me. I’ve argued with my mom and my daughter on top of grieving and it’s just been rough. I finally called my sister for an objective voice and felt somewhat better.

I’ve got lots of things to look forward to at this time. There’s this weekend with M. A mad hatter’s luncheon and the Florida Keys in April. Floating in May. Florida in June and the Van Gogh Immersive Experience in Atlanta in July. We’ll stay in a luxury hotel by the airport so we can watch the planes. One foot in front of the other. One step at a time. It’s darn hard though. If I actually survive this I’ll be one cautious cat going forward.

I hope everyone has a peaceful Saturday.

My ZOOM support group was good except i made a boo-boo to do with support group protocol and got scolded for it. But at check-out i said i was upset about it and several people said they've done the same thing and felt the same way. So that was comforting.

I took my dog out today and i think it IS getting warmer! I welcome it!

I've been going to bed super early to cope with the boredom and it's working out okay, i've been sleeping well. I feel tired already, my eyes sting.

It was great to see @BethRags' story help @Jennifer 1967 out just in the nick of time. What support groups are all about!
