I've been experiencing severe depression I think I MIGHT have identified one of the causes. Not easy to change that cause but it might be possible
(thanks for the enquiries)

Has anyone in bipolar read Pete Walker's book - Complex PTSD from surviving to thriving? (I know some here have more than one dx....and it's quite an interesting book anyway for anyone who has experienced abuse especially as a child..) Has anyone found it helpful? (if so, why?)

Love all around

Sorry you're struggling so much fuzzy. I haven't read that book but I suspect my PTSD is of the complex nature so if anyone has read it and deemed it helpful maybe I'll put it on my reading list.

I've been wondering where you were, Fuzzy. I hoped you were doing well and busy. Instead, you're struggling with depression. I'm so, so sorry.

As for the book, I have not heard of it before, but I sure want to thank you for mentioning it. I checked on Amazon and the book looks to be excellent. Sensitive, thorough, and dense. The author is a therapist, but he has CPTSD from childhood trauma. Almost all the customers who have read the book have given it outstanding reviews. I've put in in my cart and will purchase it on Wednesday.

Soft hugs for my favorite bear

Glad to see you here. Sorry about the depression. I’ve got it too. I hope it passes quickly for both of us!

I went ahead and ordered the book. Thank you again for mentioning it, Fuzzy. I think it will be quite helpful.

After I ordered the book I read about the author. It turns out that his therapy practice is in Berkeley, which is about 75 miles (120km.) from where I live.

How are you doing, Fuzzy-dear-bear? Check in if you see this.

The book should be delivered to me in 2 or 3 days. Again, thank you so much

Hi Beth I'm ok today! (relatively speaking anyway)

How are you finding the book?

Hi Fuzzy It's good to see you!

I have the book sitting on my dresser. There's been a terrible time of very broken trust with my therapist (who I should have stopped seeing 2 years ago) and because of that, I am so afraid of being triggered that I haven't yet begun to read the book. But I am gaining my courage and will start to read it soon. I will definitely let you know my opinion of it
