Lithium is out. It wrecks my kidneys and I was on it the whole time I was isolating last year.

They kept me on Risperdal for 6 months after that through 3 inpatient hospitalizations before I got away from the hospital doctors and I now go to a women's psychiatric clinic called Balance that's supposed to be the best. I see a prescribing nurse there. She put me on Depakote which seemed to help at first but now the mania is unbearable again.

She put me on Latuda last month which is helping the depression. I no longer feel I need ketamine anyway.

So right now I'm taking 1000 mg Depakote/day and 60 mg Latuda.

Has anyone else had similar experiences and if so, how did you solve it?

Have you tried Clozaril? That's what they had me on when nothing else worked for my mania and psychosis and it worked pretty well. Might want to get on Metformin too if you go that route.

Also there's always ECT. Meds worked better post ECT For me.
