Here climate change is bringing higher humidity. The hotter temps are affecting wildlife. I don’t hear about acid rain anymore or deformed frogs but the higher life forms are dying off. There’s almost no moose anymore. But the bugs are thriving in the heat and humidity. But I have to admit this year hasn’t been too bad for heat. It’s mostly staying in the 80’s (29C) but with the humidity bad enough. The loner car though doesn’t have a good AC so I try not to go anyplace during the middle of the day.

It's still too hot and sunny for me, it's not nearly as bad though...
Some bears are frolicking outside. I am not. I would like to be frolicking in the sand as I did sometimes as a cub. __________________ |

This is insane, in all my 59 years in this Valley I have never experienced heat like this. Nights are tolerable - but I wonder if, at some point, that will change? At this time, from 11 a.m to 10 p.m. outside feels exactly like standing in an oven. There is no prediction of a cool down into the lower 90's, which would be typical at this time of year - with pleasantly cool nights. None. Just day after day after day of infernal heat. I feel I'm going crazy from it.

It seems like when I'm on the phone with my mom all we do is bytch bout the weather. She lost power for two days after a storm last week and my city just broke our hottest record yesterday. We're supposed to get storms today (more power outages predicted). Looks like next week is a couple of days in the upper 80's then back into another heat wave.
I remember when I was a kid we'd have days during the summer where the high would be about 60F and it would just rain steadily all day. This would happen frequently. Now that only happens in winter!!!!! __________________ Live life for nothing but that sweet sweet melody. |

The last time there was a power outage in NYC was in 2019. Before that, 2003, the infamous 1977 blackout, and 1965. I mean...what is wrong with other places that they cannot avoid blackouts? If NYC can do it right, why can't other places? And I won't even get on a soapbox about public transportation.
The state with the most power outages is... drum roll... California. Pathetic. __________________ |

I much prefer cool weather. Someone was just bytching to me that it's not warm enough were they live. I don't wanna hear it. This summer reminds me a bit of Dante's inferno. Has anyone read that book?

Underground powerlines are key. In Calif the power lines are hung up in the air and not only is it ugly, it doesn't work as well, plus the powerlines cause fires. In cities in Europe the lines are underground. __________________ |

Here's a pic I took a couple of years ago of the fresh, cool Pacific Ocean. "Pacific" means "peace."

Thanks for the picture.
sorry it is so hot for you guys. The high here was 94 with less humidity. It is 80 right now and quite a relief from the temps today. bizi __________________ 150mg of lamictal 2x a day haldol 5mg 2x a day 1mg of cogentin 2x a day klonipin , 1mg at night, 4-5 peri-colace for chronic constipation multi vit,, vit c, at noon, tumeric, caffeine at noon PRN Remeron 15mg at night, zyprexa10mg under tongue, requip2mg. |

It's actually nice out right now? It's 61F!
Only a couple days before the temps shoot back up in the 90s though __________________ Live life for nothing but that sweet sweet melody. |

When I was growing up and into the 1990's we would predictably have a warmish, rainy day on one of the last days of July. Never rains anymore in July, but we still have one weird day. Today is hot, fairly humid (humidity is very unusual for us), and I actually felt a whole THREE raindrops on my arm while I was walking to my car a while ago! My neighbor was outside, too, and said, "What was...I felt raindrops!" But that was that.

"chanting rain rain come our way..Don't leave us dry another day". WE have been having rain in the afternoons scattered showers that just make the humidity barely tolerated. it is 87 with 65% humidity. The high today was 90. __________________ 150mg of lamictal 2x a day haldol 5mg 2x a day 1mg of cogentin 2x a day klonipin , 1mg at night, 4-5 peri-colace for chronic constipation multi vit,, vit c, at noon, tumeric, caffeine at noon PRN Remeron 15mg at night, zyprexa10mg under tongue, requip2mg. |

Today in Virginia, was cloudy with slow steady rain off and on all day. Kept the temperature down, so it was lovely! I swear I could hear the green growing things sigh with pleasure.

Rain....... Like a far-off dream.
Once I saw by the ocean and watched a heavy rain falling into the ocean. It was absolutely beautiful. __________________ |
