I’ve worked part time for the last 2 years but due to factors outside my control I’ll be going full time. I’m so nervous.

When will you be switching to full time?

My hours fluctuate a bit, but for the past several months I've had close to full 40hr weeks. It can be stressful, but it helps immensely that it's a job I really enjoy and not just a job for a paycheck.

I'm in the process of finding a part time job. I didn't even get a call saying it was a no for a job I applied to that I thought I'd get for sure. So that was discouraging. I do have a plan B but they arent hiring right now.

Part time, I’m lucky I can afford to, I’m not sure I could do full time.

Good luck! Were you full time before these last 2 years?

I tried a 30 hour a week job a couple months ago and it was a failure. I couldn’t work 9–10 hours with one 15 minute break. I feel like such a failure since itshould have been a super easy job for me. I have only passively looked for a new job.

Yes I feel like a failure and we need more income than SSDI offers

Well, that's not even legal. No one should have to work that kind of schedule.

I work part time about 15 to 18 hours a week. 3 days a week. The other 2 weekdays are filled with support staff, therapies, and groups.

I'm overwhelmed I'm busy all the time Weekends are spent with my mom. Than back to Monday. I literally have to plan downtime.

I sleep a lot. I go to bed about 7:30 pm and wake up about 7:30 am. every day even weekends with my mom.

I do doordash for about 10 or 15 hours. It pays ok, and it keeps me under the $1050 limit to where your ticket to work kicks in. I got this job to get used to working again. I have not worked for like 13 years, then my wife passed away, and I can't survive off of SSDI alone.

I work part time. Full time would be very difficult for me.

PS SSDI sees one as a full time student capable of working a full time job. I know one person who lost their SSDI for this reason. So make sure you know what you are doing before going to school full time.

I’m currently working part time. 25% for two weeks, then 50%. I hit unfortunately the wall last year and was four months away from work.

I work full time saturdays and an occasional sunday but that gets too hard for me.I am trying to get back to just working mon thru fri but it is busy trying to keep up with md orders and making charts and keeping every thing organized I got up somewhat early so I could make phone calls and make appointments.
I was able to schedule so that makes me feel good.I am still behind in getting my taxes ready for the tax man. Need to get those ready. I told jeff that he needed to get his records in order for his self employed job, outside giggs from his regular job.
It is only feb so we do still have some time.

I’m on SSI. It’s all I get. Does it matter how much you work on SSI? Is it a thousand dollar limit?
