I'm physically exhausted but mentally my mind won't shut up!!! I've been averaging 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night. I'm so irritable at EVERYONE. Good news is that I've been writing a lot though. My husband is being a meanie and won't let me take a seroquel because, "You're only supposed to take what you're prescribed." Damn it. Can't he see I'm DESPERATE?!

Luckily I have an appointment with my pdoc tomorrow morning. I'm going to ask to go back on my previous seroquel dose.

Ugh. This is just AWFUL!!!!!!!

Sorry. Had to vent.

Oo that’s terrible. Lacking sleep is horrible. Best of luck at your appointment.

I cannot believe your husband is doing that. Seroquel was prescribed to you in the past: that is why you still have it at home. You simply want to go back to the old prescription. And Seroquel is one of the best sleep aids out there. I recently did what you want to do: went back to old Seroquel prescription and notified that psychiatrist after the fact. And we agreed that is what I would be doing now, taking Seroquel.

Sleep struggles suck !

Have you ever tried Doxepin or Gabapentin for sleep ?

Doxepin really has helped over the years.

Hope you find relief soon

Thanks

I'm currently taking 800mg of gabapentin four times a day. Never tried doxepin. I'll have to ask my pdoc about it!

My appointment went well and I'm back on seroquel. 200mg at bedtime and 100mg as needed. I better get some sleep!
