I do know what you mean. I thought by increasing my activity I’d lose but I didn’t. I think anxiety is a large part of it for me too. I see my doctor tomorrow and last time he mentioned weight loss meds if I didn’t lose anything. But that terrifies me. Besides I doubt my insurance would cover them. I just got my lab results back and everything is in the green zone except my white blood cells. So health wise I’m ok.

That's good that you're healthy!

I'd go on weight loss meds if I could. I'm not sure what my GP would say to that though. Why do they scare you? I'd be thrilled!

Side effects, and the likelihood of losing weight. I’m scared I’d become unstable.

It is worth looking into whether the insurance would cover them for purely weight loss, not diabetes control (I am glad that you are not diabetic or prediabetic). Side effects of weight loss meds are manageable and subside over time. I have lost 20% from my highest body weight in less than a year on Ozempic. I also am doing strength training and last year I switched from Zyprexa to weight-neutral Latuda, so those might be factors in the weight loss as well.

In terms of the risk of destabilization, the weight loss on weight loss meds is gradual. It is probably not akin to sudden weight loss you associate with being at one of the two poles.

Thanks for this. That’s reassuring. It would be nice to once again be able to buy my preferred bohemian clothes.

Of course! I am enjoying wearing clothing that is not tent-like, and experimenting with outfits. In fact, it makes each morning when I choose clothing for office a celebration. I started on this job in August 2018 and now I finally find joy in dressing for the office.

Nammu keep one thing in mind as for not seeing a “ weight loss” on the scale. Your doing exercise that your building muscle with and it weight more than fat. So basically your converting one for the other.

Good day of eating!

Breakfast: Two cups of bran cereal (320 cals), two cups almond milk (60 cals), one V8 (60 cals)
Lunch: One cup beans (200cals), two tablespoons of salsa (10cals), one V8 (60cals), one apple (65 cals)
Dinner: one cup beans (200cals), two tablespoons salsa (10cals), one V8 (60 cals), one cup fresh cut pineapple (85cals)

Don't know how much that is total. Have to add it up.

Exercise so far: 100 jumping jacks, 400 sit-ups, but plan on doing more before bed.

Hope everyone else is having a good day of eating! We CAN lose weight!

Had pumpernickel toast with peanut butter and sliced banana on it

Bowl of creamy potato soup with extra veggies, cauliflower, broccoli and carrots and a slice of pumpernickel with a slice of cheddar

Supper will be a Cobb salad from Walmart.

Had a cookie for an afternoon snack, my sister dropped them off a couple of weeks ago. There’s one left.

I was bad last night and had a small bag of chips at my daughter's karate class (240cals!!!), and a cup of orange juice (100cals). I failed. I'm so mad at myself. I was doing so well.

I wouldn’t think of that as a fail. It’s just a blip. Over all you did well.

I’m craving pizza, found a place that does personal pan pizzas. So thinking on it. But right now my cat is sleeping on me so I can’t move 😆 would be much better to just have one of the frozen meals and go buy my salads.

Thanks, Nammu You make me feel better.

Pizza sounds delicious 😋. There's a pizza place we sometimes go to where I get a personal sized veggie pizza without the cheese. So yummy! I think we're going to go there on Tuesday. We're going to a concert that night.

Anyway, I just got done eating two cups of fresh cut pineapple. Most tasty!
