Hi, everyone, I'm Donna or dmom3005 from Neurotalk. I'm learning how to get in here correctly. So be patient with me. I hope I can continue to find this room. I already got lost once. Anyway, I have an anxiety disorder, and slight at times depression. I'm not bipolar. But I have lots of family members that are. I've been learning from the Neurotalk family about my family so I can help them. Especially my son who is 42 right now I believe. He has been bipolar since he was a kid. I'm not going to try and give a age. To me its since birth. He is stable right now. But it can always change as we know.

I also have a sister and brother-in-law that are both bi-polar married. And are both doing pretty good right now. I just listen as best I can as of now. They don't need my advice. But they need my ear. And I have another sister that is too. AND two nieces one on both sides mine and my husbands that are.

Its a world that you just learn to live in.

Donna

Thanks to the person who told me how to find my thread. I may not remember how again later. But I found it right now.

And yes, I remember you giddy, now I'm having trouble remembering
the rest of the name. But I did see your post in the neurotalk too.

To update you and Bizi, and anyone else I have been laid up for 7 weeks now.
And finally this week found out I have a fractured spondylolisthesis not sure
I spelled it correctly. But its close to the tailbone. And its definitely my
problem. Dont let the er's xray your hips more than once if they tell
you nothing is broke. If they keep wanting to, they can't find this. It takes
an mri. So its taken forever because it wasn't the right test. So now I'm
waiting on insurance to okay an epidural cortisone shot and physcial
therapy. And if that doesn't work it will probably be surgery in 8 weeks.

oh wow! sounds painful!
I hope you can get it taken care of and feel better soon!
I do understand the process doesn't always happen overnight though.
My husband might have to get surgery again for his nasal passages. Still having breathing issues.
It's been complicated
And now it's being put off for a bit because his family will visit in a week for a bit.

anyway, yeah so i might not be around for a bit, but I am here AND I have a thread of my own Giddy Thoughts if you're interested and can figure it out

I'm in a holding pattern right now. But the pain medicine is
working which is a big relief. I have an emg that is coming first
but its not for a while. Its on the 20th of July, with my new
pain doctor. He says he needs to see were all the pain is coming
from first then the epidural. Which honestly makes sense.
I'm also on the cancellation list if they get one.

I finally got my Physical Therapy set its for 12th of July. Its a re-evaluation.
And that is good to me. I just hope they can get me in for the regular
therapy appointments better after that. If not it might be once a week
instead of 2 or 3 times. I might need to move out my appointment
with my spine doctor so I have time for all the appointments to
have a chance to work. I'm honestly not wanting to even consider
surgery until both the epidural and the physical therapy get a chance
to work. Because I'm starting to feel better already. I also have a
mri the same day. So they are all ready to close to the same time for
my comfort so we will see if I get at least part of the therapy in and
the epidural to my satisfaction.

Donna,
I wonder if that can heal on its own?
PT can really be helpful.
Hoping that you get to see everyone that you want to see sooner.
I hope that you have relief soon.

I'm doing as well as can be expected right now. And am ready for PT
to start. So in a week can't wait.

I am taking Derrick to work tomorrow and will wait and pick him
up. But will take a book and read probably in the car so I wont
be getting out and going places waiting. But will probably go
in early and wait on him if I need to.

He is finishing up his testing to start his cooking too. So I will push
after he gets his to go shift finished for him to finish his class work
so he can start the cooking in work time.

Thanks Bizi,

Derrick finished his testing today. And should be getting ready
to do his cooking soon. He will have to stay on the manager and
the rest to make sure it happens now.

I just said I couldn't find this thread. And it showed up. Anyway, I wanted it to come so I could repost again.

Anyway I will be going to pt on the 12th and do a re-evaluation. The an emg the following week on the 20th. Hoping I continue to feel better and
better.

I jsut go day by day right now. I am doing what I can and keep doing it.

I am glad to just be up and moving now.

It was a relief to find out what is wrong. I knew and he finally admitted it. That my husband thought I was
faking the injury. How he thinks I could fake this kind of injury I dont get honestly.

I can, its the way he thinks sometimes. Just life. I know he still helped
me when he could and took me to my appointments. So he knew
I was not feeling well too.

Just life.
