Sounds delicious and nutritious, Hitch.

What's the reason you're doing the keto diet?

Thanks @TheGal

I’ve got a lot of weight to lose. I hadn’t realised until yesterday when I got on the scale just how much had crept on

Good luck, Crazy Hitch!

I've also got a lot of weight to lose. Don't have a plan yet on how to lose it like you, but just wanted to let you know you're not alone. I think I have to lose about twenty pounds? I'll find out for sure next week when I'm weighed at my pdoc appointment. (Our scale doesn't work.)

I'm just always so HUNGRY. It's so frustrating 😫.

Thanks guys. After doing meal prep for a few days and it taking 2 hours, this is not the diet for me.

I’ve joined liteneasy meal subscription. 1200 calories a day plus the calories in my milk for coffee and tea.

Please dear lord let me lose weight this time.

KETO is also not the diet for me. Not that I have tried, but I pictured myself trying and decided to pass.

I can't do keto. I don't eat meat.

I think with 1200 calories a day you'll lose weight. That's what I was doing last year around this time and lost a bunch of weight.

Not a problem @Crazy Hitch. Stick to between 1000 to 1400 calories per day (measure out EVERYTHING) and you'll lose weight. I also had a zero fat diet. My diet mainly consisted of: beans, rice, peas, tofu, unsweetened almond milk, oatmeal (sweetened with stevia) and bran cereal. Boring I know. I was also doing roughly 800 sit-ups per day and 150 jumping jacks. And I was drinking a ton of water.

Anyway, so you'll lose weight. Promise.

I lost like twenty pounds. Took me roughly four months, but I did it!

Oh I need to up my water intake I know! I find it so hard when I’m teaching because I can’t really leave a class to go to the toilet. So that’s been my main barrier. I’m also on almond milk, unsweetened. I don’t like how healthier foods are more expensive. Smh.

I've just gotten lazy with my diet , had surgery, and gained it all back. I'm actually getting a little motivated now. I can't exercise the way I used to, but I can go back on my diet. I really have to lose weight. I'm all paranoid about getting diabetes because I'm on seroquel.

Setoquel makes me put on weight BUT if you’re watching what you eat you’ll be okay. Congrats on the weight loss last year. Even if you put it back on, you can do it again. We got this.

Thanks! Yeah. I really have to watch what I eat while on Quetiapine or I blow up like a balloon.

We'll lose weight. No problems. Did it once, can do it again.

Yes.

Starting tomorrow I'm resuming my diet from last year around this time! No more brown sugar in oatmeal. Stevia instead. No toast. No bread. One cup of bran cereal instead.

Look into monitoring your blood sugar levels... that should help you lose weight and not feel hungry.

In the US, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices are expensive. They are very convenient when used with apps, but pricey. I do not know about Australia. Definitely worth looking into.

Here's an infographic I have posted on my fridge to help.

Common Foods on the Glycemic Index

Eating several time small portions throughout the day of foods that don't spike your blood sugar levels: no white flour, white rice, etc.

Do eat lentils, for instance, because not only do they not spike your blood sugar levels, they are also alkaline rather than acidic.

This is something else I have posted on my fridge:

Alkaline-Acid Food Charts to Help Balance Your pH - Greenopedia

The more alkaline food you eat, the better.

This is a free online workshop about managing blood sugar levels... given by a dietitian.

I'm thinking of watching it, but I don't want them to try to sell me stuff...

Here's more info, in case you are also interested.
