Apparently these vivid hallucinations aren’t psychological- they are sleep disorders.

Last night I was awakened by someone calling my name followed immediately by my bolting straight up while screaming a loud “Aaaah!” This has happened to me before but it’s been years since I’ve experienced it before last night.

That must have been a scary experience @Moose72 - were you able to calm down and go back to sleep?

Have you started any new meds lately that might be affecting your sleep?

Hypnopompic/hypnogognic hallucinations I've never heard of being considered anything "disordered" it's just kinda the overlap of dreaming and being awake (though I guess by definition they're "disordered" if it disrupts your daily life/makes it hard to get restful sleep). I have them sometimes.

Yes. I recently restarted Vraylar after being off it for two weeks by mistake. I took it for a week and a half at bedtime until I noticed the bottle says to take it in the morning. I was able to go back to sleep.
