I’m hot!

I feel hot and achey. Like it’s 90 degrees in here! Muscles ache. No fever according to my thermometer. Hot flashes? I never get those. Coughing? Stuffy nose? Maybe it’s just a cold. My asthma symptoms are back. I guess it’s been six hours since I last used them.

Seeing the dr after my downsizing appointment at the piercing shop. The doctor appointment was scheduled for this morning but we changed it to this afternoon.

Not sure I can sing tonight in choir. Supposed to have a voice lesson before choir too. Hmmm…. I’ll decide after I go to my dr appointment.

Tomorrow I see Pdoc for a med review. I need a refill on Vraylar 3 mg. Only tonight’s dose left.

I have the same exact symptoms. Muscle aches but no fever. And I'm really hot. I have the air on and the fan on and its only 50 degrees.

Supposedly theres this new covid like virus making the rounds and its giving scientists the creeps.

My doctor wants to see me today but its like I feel too sick to even go there.

The doctor listened to me then my lungs. Looked in my mouth and said it’s not overly red. Said there was lots of wheezing and crackling in my lungs. She said it was my asthma and prescribed an inhaled steroid called Dulera. Held off on prescribing prednisone. I kept coughing. She also said she wondered if it’s not allergies. Without albuterol more than the recommended 6-8 hour dosing my chest felt like I couldn’t get a deep enough breath of air.

Had a mini voice lesson with the choir director just now. It really helped but I’m having hot flashes! I took my sweatshirt off. None of the other choir members are here yet.

At the tail end of this sickness. Got prednisone and zpack (antibiotics) and a prescription cough pills and now 4 days later I have one more day of meds and I’m wheezing a bit still but nothing like I was 4 days ago. Also using albuterol inhaler.

Keep coughing up gunk.

Finished the prednisone and zpack antibiotics this morning! Still taking the cough pills and coughing up mucus. Haven’t felt hot since the first few days.

So glad I could take the prednisone without a panic attack like back in February! Both that and the z pack antibiotics helped tremendously! I’m almost back to normal except I’m still coughing up mucus.

I’m glad I went to urgent care 6 days ago because this obviously wasn’t allergies! I think it was a bacterial infection plus a bad asthma flare. Especially since I had a very bad paroxysmal productive cough!

Physical Exam
Vitals and nursing note reviewed.
Constitutional:
Appearance: Normal appearance. She is ill-appearing.
HENT:
Nose: Congestion present.
Mouth/Throat:
Mouth: Mucous membranes are moist.
Pharynx: Oropharynx is clear. Posterior oropharyngeal erythema present.
Cardiovascular:
Rate and Rhythm: Normal rate and regular rhythm.
Pulmonary:
Effort: Pulmonary effort is normal.
Breath sounds: Wheezing and rhonchi present.
Musculoskeletal:
Cervical back: Normal range of motion.
Skin:
General: Skin is warm.
Findings: No rash.
Neurological:
Mental Status: She is alert.

No mention of paroxysmal cough.

Still wheezing and coughing up mucus. Going to dr in the morning at the suggestion of the nurse on the phone.

Saw dr. Got bronchitis. Got Benzonatate again. Supposed to use albuterol inhaler more for 3 days. Still short of breath when I walk.

Woke up feeling hot. Temp 97.9- had been running 96 or lower at the dr.

Still got a cough but other than that I think I’m recovered!
